There was also Valek, who hardly anyone remembers but who was a scarily good warrior fighter.

Pfft. Valek was just a brute. He was also around and fighting when everyone was still fairly low-leveled.

Also, he was an OOC ass, which disqualifies him from holding any positive association such as the title of "Legend". tongue.gif

I disagree about the demesnes. Naturaly, no one skill set will kill everyone else, but a druidic demesne does give off more affliction that hinder healing more efficinetly if you get them to stick.
Nementh2006-09-01 21:21:48
maybe if you are walking about a blacktolan demesne...

Asthma would be nice, if we used smoke-cured afflictions. Runists might, but we can't stop you curing asthma and then smoking. Hallucinations don't really hinder healing unless you let it go for a while and get stunned. Confusion doesn't hinder healing. Dementia doesn't hinder healing. Paralysis doesn't hinder healing (much).

What afflictions are you talking about? Can't be anything a Hartstone demesne has.

Er. No. If I had ever used Murphy's hammers, I wouldn't have to be guessing as to the alleged stats of them.

maybe he was fighting without his hammers once and he said that he killed you but it took a little bit longer than usual unsure.gif

How could anyone miss Ialie on their list of legends! The woman who is more dangerous than Narsrim!

Celest has Ekard, and possibly Amaru if he was a tad more polite to people.

I get weird feeling grouping those two names in one sentence.

I said "more Legends"

And I forgot Ekard... he's one of those Forging guys and at least the third one at it.. (Melanchthon and Daevos are first)

Ekard wins the "nicest guy around" reward. And can kick ass, not only forge - he simply has chosen not to, recently.

I would say that Thorgal is a Legend for one very important reason. He is responsible for the healing capabilities of many people in Lusternia. The Murphster 2.0 system is pretty much Thorgal’s healing combined with Murphy's echoes. If I did not enjoy making my own systems, I would definitely use his.

Ethelon's the Thorgal of the poor sad.gif

Yes, I forgot to include Ethelon for that reason too. He has helped plenty get started. His original post of affliction patterns helped me start my Lusternia system.

Ekard doesn't forge any more because he went aqua, I think. Not 100% on that but... glare.gif
Clise2006-09-03 00:17:50
Aquamancers can't forge!

Rafael was a legend early on. Though he did used to run like a girl from me with my scary broadswords...

Actually that was a lie - he ran once, and every other time we pretty much sat there for 20 minutes beating on each other waiting for reinforcements from one side or another, because there was no possible way for a warrior to kill anyone else in one on one combat.

And Thorgal pretty much holds the same position Whyte does on Imperian. Though with Thorgal's system you can take it apart and learn how to code in zmud, while with Whyte's you pretty much sit there scratching your head wondering what to do with it.

Isn't Whyte's free though?
Sylphas2006-09-03 14:48:41
As far as I know. And it can't be any harder to learn from then a zMUD system, it just might take a few minutes more tinkering to get at the code.
Terenas2006-09-03 18:06:07
It's a lot harder than Zmud since the codes aren't exactly intuitive and newbie-friendly.
Ekard2006-09-03 18:48:07
Im not a legend! doh.gif
Im not even close to it.

But thanks anyway for counting me too. blush.gif
