Don't know if sharks and the like count as animals, but with dross power, it should be semi worth it now.
Dross power is highly limited, since you only get 30 a weave. That means six animals animalgrowthed, which is a trivial and unnoticable amount of extra experience. Also, I know ecologists can't influence things that swim or fly, dunno if that's only empathy, or if it effects other skills as well.

Only read the first post. There are no rules regarding statue tuning - I once issued asking about the statues outside Serenwilde tuned against all enemies and was told they were fine, for example.

This is another one of those problems where you get a different answer out of each different admin controlling the Oneiroi.

Wrong.
I believe official policy is as Narsrim stated- no ORGANIZATION SPECIFIC enemies, but you MAY use statues against personal enemies. One hits many more people than another, potentially. (Cap of 30 versus hundreds and hundreds!)

If it's the same time I remember though, we did take those statues down.

Then the admins need to get together and agree on these things, because this isn't the only time I've been conflicting reports from them.

They have been preparing consistent policy statements on issues such as these for some time, I believe.
For instance, the summoning rules are unclear at this time, given past and present responses to the topic by admin. I know however that a few weeks ago they were in the process of collating a list of these confusing policies with the express purpose of clarifying them.
I'm sure in the next little while we will see some of these OOC rules and guidelines cleared up.
And I have no idea why we can't put tuned statues on roads. If they weren't supposed to be tunable there, why not just make them urban-only?

Because the roads through Celest and Magnagora are, well, roads. Celest is like, 75% road, 25% city.

They survey as urban. The only player territory roads are in villages.

That's bizarre. Not long ago, one of the Hartstone had a statue on the Alabaster Road. I asked one of the divine about it, and was told that it was actually allowed, just not smiled upon. I still had the statue dismantled, but ran into problems with the people who put it up when they claimed that it was not illegal. Looks like my memory was right to begin with, and I just got some mis-information.
Ooh, are you coming back?
Terentia2006-08-21 14:45:55
If you have received conflicting information from the Oneiroi regarding policies such as statues or summoning, please ISSUE it. Sometimes, we aren't aware of what's been told (right or wrong), and we can't correct or clarify if we don't know.

It's usually through issues that this information is discovered in the first place though.

The Oneiroi says that tuned against personal enemies is okay but it kinda looks... unfair. He lust someone who has no idea in combat, then leaves with a cubix, finds a statue outside the city then tunes it against his enemy THEN empresses the victim and from what I heard, he dominates them to waste their vials, or worst, steal stuff from them. I think statues outside should not be tuned against anything just to be fair, then again, the Oneiroi says it's okay.

Wrong. Most of Celest surveys as road.
