Yeah, its been asked. Yeah, theres a thread already telling the choice areas but I seemto be completely clueless at hunting at places those my level and sometimes lower can handle without problem.

I am level 61, 2923 max health and mana, Human. 50% Virt Druidry so no Cudgel yet. Any suggestions where I should go? Have been around Shallach but I know for certain Im not going to be welcome there if this idiot game war ends anytime soon. Desert seems to be killing me, I can handle em but it hurts a lot. I can do Krokani but not Aslaran and even with Krokani I have problems. So please, a little help if you can.

Without cudgel you're rather limited, since you'll kill slowly and take more damage. Try places that don't break shields. Snow Valley should be doable if you shieldwhore.

What, shieldwhoring? It's not that hard... and actually NOT needed.

If you get badly wounded, just run. Most creatures don't come after you.

Why can't you kill aslaran? They are easier than Krokani. I know females have that knockdown+off-balance attack, but it shouldn't be that difficult to avoid.

Hunting upper Shallach is fine. If you are afraid that people will kill you there, drink vitae. Lower is difficult, so I'd pass for now.

What exactly are you having problems with in the desert? Well, creatures there don't pay very well, so you might want to pass anyway.

Gorgogs might be too hard for the time being. No, definately too hard. Rockeaters on the other hand are way too easy for you now. Sharks in the Inner Sea might be a good idea if Celestians are not after your head. Maybe aberrants and brains in the caverns near Presidio. Some viscanti even buy them if it's not against your RP to deal with the taint.

Running is possible, granted I dont run into another or more. Learning to shield more in Snow Valley, but I still get killed if theres more than one in the room and they do their 1k attack. Yes, 1k and Im as deffed as my current skills allow.

I have never been able to handle Aslaran, I dont know why I just find them much harder than Krokani. This is both male and female, though the females I find to be pure evil.

I do hunt Upper Shallach, and wont go lower because I dont want to be enemied to Magnagora, Celest is enough for me right now. The only reason were allowed their now is because Magnagora doesnt hate Serenwilde persay, and its just easy to assume because of the Moondancers well have to go back to being on good terms with Celest and end up pissing Magnagora off because of something we do in conjunction with Celest. I do use Vitae now, only because its a less experience drain than praying and resurgem and gives me a chance to shield right after or run.

Gilas I can handle, but they are costly to fight for me. I dont make huge sums of gold each day, Im lucky if I make 5k. Sandojin, I can handle but not without reaching the point of almost death. Or if I do well and am able to hunt them all someone has killed the people who accept the corpses, its the same bit in the Moors too. Someone just being an ass for the sake of some extra gold and or experience.

Gorgogs, I know are too hard. They were too hard for me as a level 70 Elfen/Trill Celestine/Aquamancer, granted I didnt have a Symbol (they werent around then) or a staff but Blast is still better I find than Nature Curse and I always had more Int than I do now. I might try sharks, but I am enemied to Celest for the war and the Celestines for raiding on Celestia, so I have that consequence of my temper to deal with so itll just look like Im out to raid on the Kelpies or some such nonsense. I have no problems with dealing with those of Magnagora or Glomdoring, I like them OOC and I like some of the people Ive met ICly. Only been around Presidio once but that was to look at the descriptions, will have to check farther through that crack.

So I guess you can see just how weak I am in playing this game. Oh well, Im trying I guess.

That is because the females knock you down, you are then prone, and they knock you off balance as well, and do sort of nasty bleeding (only the tigers in snow valley do worse from what I've seen of the denizens). I've been fighting a female aslaran and they'll knockdown 5-6 times in a row, I won't have enough time to do anything but sip and hope I don't die. I find them worse then Gorgogs because of that (gorgogs are a -lot- more damage, but they aren't as annoying, and aflame I can handle with potions or healing skills)

Edit:Ah, if the gorgog's are to hard remember you still have merian's on the other island you can kill, bravos give fear(wolf totem immunity) beachcombers give a short blackout+blindness afflictions(just have some faeleaf, and keep sipping during the blackout) madiens are sort of nasty with bleeding, but only during one of their attacks, I actually have found them easier then female aslaran's

There are also a lot of little areas out there, if you are less concerned about cash and more about hunting constantly, places like balach swamp are useally open, by the time someone realizes where it is they're to high level to care to hunt there.

Merians are on par with Krokani, if not a bit easier.

Sewers if you have free time and someone to take you there. Its easy... lots of money. Xp would eventually add up.. in time .

Crabs and eels there can be good targets.

Too bad Im enemied to Celest and dont know anyone in Magnagora. Ah well, taking full advantage of Shallach and Snow Valley when there arent three cats in a room. Thats a painful room.

Ill keep this thread in mind for asking when I get to the point I cant hunt those two anymore.

I have to say to admins for those new areas.
Some more and i will be more then happy.
I recently explored those new areas and they are really nice and adding new hunting grounds.
When i do see any difficulty in killing sabretooth cats or mammoths, but 50-70 level people should deffinitly check them.
Havent checked spiders in Observatory yet, but i dont think they will be better then those cats.
And again for admins for sipders source outside of Glomdoring!!! We needed it for long time!
Havent checked Presidio(sp?) yet.
And i was only on one aether bubble, but from i saw there are few nice hunting spots too.

And as for pure hunting. its up to you to check what can you handle and what you cant.
For those mobiles that dont break a shield, shield and heal is very good tactic, for those that dont chase moving a room and heal is nice, so most dangerous are those that teams, like cats or coyotes on Desert.

Also you have to know do you bash for gold or for exp. its hard to find good place for both as their are very often visited and bashed out (gorgogs, merians, krokanis, aslarans mainly).
Other nice exp are hammerhead sharks, nasty bleeding adn teaming but dont break shields.

Bash Ixion, Athana, Kaervas, Niara, Aesyra... who else?
