It would be cool to tie every thing into the big climatic battle. (because you just don't see that every series)

And I want to see the ancients lay the smack down on the ourai while the various factions fire away at each other.

Also if you believe wikipedia, the creators of the stargate movie don't consider the series a valid continuation and want to make their own

The supposed movie is an SG-1 movie, of course. The Antartica battle episode was originally the rough plan for the movie, but when the series got picked up again, they turned it into the season finale.

I'd still really like to see us lose in the movie. Because you rarely see Earth lose in a serious context (Titan A.E. is one of nearly non-existant examples.) Which is different than things like Firefly, where they simply leave a dying Earth.

It would also give a reason for the continuation of watching Atlantis, while not giving reason to wonder what's going on with SG-1. The Earth would be enslaved, and Atlantis could be the next warfront.

I mean.. come on.. Ancient Replicators vs Priors would be cool.

SG-1 is probably my favorite show ever, they can't cancell it!

Strangely enough, I never watch it on TV. I caught an episode here and there for years, which finally prompted me to buy Season 1. And 2. And 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. In fact, I started in February, and stopped in August, because every time I finished one, I had to buy the next season. I won't watch the ones on TV right now, because it's season 10, and season 9 isn't even out on DVD (hence why I don't have Atlantis yet). Maybe when season 9 is out, I can catch what I missed of season 10 online or something, and finally be all caught up.

Oh, and I liked the Stargate movie, but after watching it, and then the show, I liken Stargate to M.A.S.H. - teriffic show, lame movie with lame-er characters (except Daniel, who they actually kept {Ascended Daniel is so cool! }).

And a movie would be nice, they really do need something like that to tie up the Ori storyline. Still looking forward to seeing Morena Baccarin (Inara Firefly) as the evil Ori Half-Ascended Leader. I am hoping another network picks up SG-1 though... Sci-Fi can not be trusted. They proved they are more interested in money then good sci-fi when they put wrestling on their channel.

Doesn't it only matter if people with nielson boxes watch it? my friend had a nielson box, I use to wathc shows I liked that nbody else did at her house.

Atlantis had an awesome episode too. Tonight was just a great night for Stargate.

It makes sense for the series to end after season 10. I mean, after you defeat an entire galaxy worth of gods, what the hell else do you do?

Of course, this is assuming that they don't do a half-assed, rushed ending so they can end it. That would suck. This storyline needs an epic ending.
