Not really. With the racial upgrades they did a while back Aslaran's level 2 balance is rather sad. I actually lost half a second per swing with my 200 speed weapons. Lastly, I have no idea what 40% bonus you are referring to.
Lunges deal 40% more wounding than normal hits.
I wonder what's the base (that is, when attacking an armour-less target) wounding damage per hit of your weapons?
Athana2006-08-28 22:10:08
Yeah I was really close to thornrending a few times but you writhed out before I could regen that last power or two And I noticed that my wounds never got past medium the entire fight and that love potion rejecting is REALLY annoying. I did, however try using a bit of variety with stagcurse (though unsure if it hits in trees), darkseed, and tried morphite/morphite chary/chary berserkfetish the previous few spars we had and it didn't seem like it hindered him enough to make the power for them worth it so I just went for lash after those three fights

Against anyone with trans resilience, fetish just isn't worth it. You have limited options to work with to begin with, and you can't be sure of any of them actually hitting due to shrugging.

It's 60%, actually.

So that's what you meant by movie combat log. Now I want to see the first one!
Everiine2006-09-05 17:10:11
*whimper whimper* How can you see what's going on? I would have been dead in a second because everything moves way too fast.
Unknown2006-09-05 17:28:16
In normal fights it goes at the same speed, but the text scrolls in a more, I don't know, fluid way? It makes it a bit easier to see what's happening.
But still, you only get the necessary eye-speed by experience. The trick is not to pay attention to everything, but to know what to pay attention to, and what you can ignore.

Heh. Even I got lost in that log. Far too many crazy colours.
Everiine2006-09-05 17:51:00
My few color triggers are what help me out. Big blue bar means I can drink health again, big green herbs, big red salves. Helps a little.

Is it just me or shouldn't people be curing thornrend with an ignite? Just fight through it until you have 2-3 and the burn em off? Seeing as how writhing bleeds you more = sucking more WP = sucking more health sips, I don't see why people are writhing off the thornrend other than the fact that they either fear they won't cure it in time and get thorn(lashed? the instakill) or they don't want to lose the short balance of rubbing...? Anyone have an explanation for this?

Yes and no. If you let them keep lashes on you, they can do what Shorlen does, and bounce you to death. I can do about 1,000 bleeding every 10 seconds if I can get two lashes off from raise cudgel/treelife/treebane/shove/thorns/squirrels. Igniting would be good, but I open with darkseed usually when going the thornlash route, so you'd have a very small margin in which to rub the enchant, and you'd have to chance taking a bunch of lashes while writhing from the webs and hoping you get a chance to writhe from the vines.
