Once I found out gluttony was not blocked by anorexia as I had thought, I decided it'd be my preferred method to deliver the crotamine poison, via poisoned food. However, much to my dismay, not only do I not get credit, but it ignores the avenger and pk status entirely. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon so I can continue to kill people via poisoned food and gluttony. I initially dismissed it as an unworkable strategy, because anorexia is too important of an affliction to give up just to make gluttony make them eat poisoned food.
I had been talking about it all day too. After testing it, I made 5 vials of crotamine, and ordered 30 rolls from a cook. I had then been running around looking for a suitable test subject for the strategy, running after Collvan at Trader Bob's store only to realize I was already suspected. So instead I happened upon Turgeis bashing Gorgogs.
Oh well. Here's the log.

Kinda neat how that works out.

Issued and Bug it, HOPEFULLY, that'll resolve things
EDIT: Didn't get to see how it really happened because my system screwed up when I was afflicted with Aeon and was spamming countless and countless words of **AEON** on my screen and hanged a bit and returned to normal only to see me dead.

You issued me actually, not it, which is silly, because I did nothing wrong. I was actually quite upset when I was informed it didn't show me killing you via crotamine, and instead showed you as killing yourself, thus meaning I cannot use that strategy till it's fixed.

Well that's how the issue suppose to work is it?

You have the option of issuing yourself also, but I'm not sure how that would work in this situation.
Diamondais2006-08-28 03:46:38
Could probably say the same either way.

My question is, how the hell is he munching on rolls while he's sleeping?

It's Whyte's mapper, from Imperian. Grab it from sourceforge, the address is in Whyte's signature on the Imperian forums. There's an old incomplete map in the sources, or start your own.

Whyte's mapper is incompatible with Lusternia. The one I'm using is a modified version. Courtesy of Elryn.

Can you still eat herbs with gluttony/anorexia and what not?

No. It just forces you to eat food (and take damage). The food may or may not be poisoned.

A creative strategy well-executed. I hope that bug is fixed soon, because I could probably adapt it slightly to be more appropriate to Nihilists.
Narsrim2006-08-28 12:17:08
Isn't the method itself bugged?
While under anorexia/gluttony, you should either be incapable of eating or capable of eating.

Read the Ideas forum, Narsrim. Estarra has bulimia coded in, apparently, when they're stacked like that.

What does that have to do with the fact you cannot eat herbs?
Ashteru2006-08-28 13:11:00
If you could eat them, they would have no effect since you'd vomit them up the second you eat them anyway. So be thankful, that would just be a way to waste herbs.
