Here I am at college, with a shiney new laptop. Wireless internet just about everywhere.
And I can't get on to Lusternia! Not through Nexus, not even through Mud Master! Any ideas why? Or how I can get past this?

Is it a popup block, or a firewall problem?

Did you try just straight through telnet? They might have blocked the port.

Well It's not Lusternia, so it has to be a problem on your end.

Not a popup block, so it must be a firewall block of some sort. Not sure how that works.
How would I go about using straight Telnet?
(Thing is, I really need Nexus to work; all my reflexes are in there.)

This happened to me at college to, but it cleared up after a while. Until then I had to ssh into our campus Linux server and telnet out from there.

I had this problem once, too. What I did was download the latest Java (since Nexus uses Java) and installed it, and then I could get online just fine. Try that and see if it works.

Sounds as if your college has the gaming ports blocked. Best way to go around the problem I guess is just to mail some admin and ask. I've never heard about colleges blocking ports maybe its just an coincidense.
Good luck
