So, out of sheer boredom, I set up some tiggers for the May/Sheena/Kipp quest thingy in the moors, and I was wondering if this is a no-no. I have triggers to go through the conversations with the npc's and to run from May to Sheena, Sheena to Kipp, and from Kipp to May and back. I still have to type the alias to start the conversations and movment triggers.

Anyone able to tell me for sure?

I don't think anyone but the admin will be able to tell you for sure, but it sounds like a bit much to me. However, I don't know the quest, so I can't say. Standard I've seen used is that if it moves you, it's too automated.

I think that if you are in Denizen A (who starts the quest) and you have a system that talks to it, then automatically inputs commands to continue the quest (say, go out of the room after the conversation to head oof to Denizen B and start a converstation and then go to another to start the conversation...) in just 1 press of a button, then yes. It is too automated.

However, if you only have aliases to input the messages (like what I have for leading pilgrims. I just press one button to tell them I'll lead them to Avencha's) then I guess its ok. dunno.gif

There really isn't much of a way to tell if you're doing it all auto if you're at the keyboard able to respond to people when they talk to you. If you start telling people you're doing things auto-wise though its a giveaway.

Yes

As for asnwering to those denizens im not sure but that conversation is so simple that in most cases you say just yes no or someone name. So im not sure why you would need triggers or aliases for that.
And for moving from one room to another, i had many aliases for sprinting from one place to another, so if you have something like that and you use it manually i think its fine.

And if you have to go to one denizen start a alias for speaking then use alias for spriting/going to another and again use alias to start another conversation i would say its ok.

It would be too much if you would just go to May, hit F1 or whatever and from that point all would go automatic without your response.

If you have to ask, then yes it's probably too automatic.

Most of the IRE Divine/admins I've seen replying to something like this tend to say the same thing: "If you can start the quest, and it will run in its entirety even if you leave the keyboard, it's too automated."

Not to mention that if you know an honours quest well enough to automate it, why not go try a different one so those of us who haven't figured it out yet can have a chance?

And, what everyone else is saying is right.

That's only a small part of the honours quest I thought. Besides, isn't that what honours quests are for, farming gold and experience? (j/k) halo.gif
