Would be nice if there was an Environments skill that allowed you to withstand the force of sea currents. Maybe an ability that would work similarily with wind currents as well.
Simimi2007-07-21 23:13:01
PLEASE let those without hunting make a tent and sleep in it. Give hunters log cabin making... PLEASE.

that'd make a nifty artifact.

Last we were told, it's not feasible at this point in time.
I'm still praying for "this point in time" to mean "Oh, that was the old state. Now it's feasible. Enjoy the new artifact!"

Wouldn't it be nice if there was an environment skill called STEPAROUND?
Always step around those damn cows and sheep.

Ab Environment Roll
This skill lets you use the command ROLL while sitting or prone to make yourself stop being on fire.

ROLL is already a command, and I'm not sure being on fire actually does anything yet. Gorgogs, at least, you just go out instead of it ticking for damage.

/me prays for tents, and pretends to promise they will not be used for tent revivals of Light in the Skarch.
Oh! What if we could erect tents like the ones the nomads have in the Skarch... ohhh.

The later is an artifacted called The brooch of the Tempest. Works for the getting blown around and blown out of trees.

Pyre is ridiculous to try to set up, but if a telekinet can actually set a mugwump on fire and get a few rounds of pyre in, the mugwump will be dead. Then again, if the mugwump lets that happen to him, he deserves to be dead.
And anyway, you're not a mugwump anymore; you're a demigod.
And I second (or third, or forth, or whatever) the hope that we can someday get an artie that stops the waves.

pshh firewalls, phantom walls, unless you can't combine them. it'd be cool if you could use pyre on firewalls and make them super fire walls too. pyre is one of the cooler skills too. too bad it's so hard to use since fire goes out on its own, in water, or with frost.
Unknown2007-07-25 18:47:21
I was trying to get Xanon to envoy Pyre setting you on fire if you weren't already, so you would have some chance of actually getting the hit. Even if you could combo fire/phantom walls, being entangled doesn't stop you from sipping frost.
Pyre is the only damaging skill in psionics->telekinesis that works on a channel besides Super, so you can combo it with Psiblade. but using it on my mugwump self with psiblade, it was still ~1000 damage with both of them. So consider that it'll be cured almost instantly, it's still not that useful but I'd like to have it to play with.

i tried to get fling a buff since leviatation completely negates it the adverse effects from it. and it cost 5 power. at least now it only costs like 3. so if you wanna remove someone temporarily just fling them :/
Unknown2007-07-25 19:38:22
Fling's not really that bad, actually. You have to remember that everything in the Psi trees can combo. You have alteraura, which let you strip specific defenses (including levitation). So strip lev/trip (small stun)/fling means they get a concussion. You can also fling in a Geo demesne right before stonerain. The problem with that, is that stonerain is close to the end in terms of effects hitting so you miss one of the other damaging effects but it's been a while so I don't remember which ones you don't get. Clever timing helps that, though, even if Earthquake does make it more work.
Krellan2007-07-25 20:07:48
oh I know, I've considered that. But at the same time I also considered how telekinetics have most of their channels locked generally. Narsrim's actually one who doesn't lock any. But usually they've got at least daggers and leglock which are two channels alone, leaving none to strip and fling. But I suppose they could still do it. In any case, 3 power for a concussion is okay at best. I'd really just use it because that sounds fun, throwing someone in the air with your mind, just take a moment to imagine it.

You should've probably put it in the Non-Combat artifacts thread.

Be able to set a trademaster for a privately owned clan, where the default trademaster is the clan leader. (ie: CLAN SET_TRADEMASTER (person)).
It's not that I don't trust the people I transfer my cartels over to, but it would be nice if I didn't have to relinquish ownership of the clan just so I can set someone as a trademaster.

NEW HERB!
Could call it Tobacco... You could put it in pipe and light up. Give at least some fun for people who doesn't drink and doesn't smoke pot, err, weed I mean. Also would be nice for roleplaying.
Could sit at Pool all day making smoke rings.
