Because they're just Teleport for one less power, that only leads to one room. If I need to get back to Serenwilde, Teleport Nexus doesn't cost power. If I need to get back fast, I'll spore. If it had the same restrictions as Moonbeam (i.e. you're still in the room when it finishes, you teleport, regardless of state) THEN it would have a purpose.

note GROVE, not TOTEM

Note that in this case they're the same thing, since it would be limited to home territory... anything that teleports you to a place that isn't your nexus on death does it without grace, so if this did in neutral territory you'd just be harvested down to level 1.

How many nuetral forest locations are there? I can think of three on Asyrian Isles...

Not even positive those rooms are actually forest.
Sylphas2006-09-02 01:08:54
They are. Forest herbs grow there and you can meld them.

There are quite a few in the Arysian Isles.

And if it's in home territory, why exactly would you use grove return over nest/totem return? They're exactly the same thing... return to one room for two power. When you could just teleport nexus or snort a spore instead...

Because I am lazy and don't want to run around.

Remember, utility here, it does not need to be an obvious combat use, or whatever... and this is also brainstorming.

Do you use totem return?

I mean, this ability isn't really utility. It's just coding that won't get used.
Nementh2006-09-02 01:28:51
These Groves are not totems... if I had a grove where I could actually do more then put it in a defensively important place to annoy enemies entering the serenwilde, then I would use it.

It is added to GROVE utility... which were propossed in my idea.

A wiccan skill that sends your fae to the room someone else is in, local area range (perhaps make this the ability of the Willowisp fae, to guide fae to others? Perhaps forest to forest only?).

No, that would never be used. It would suck horribly because fae on their own don't stand a chance. In 1v1 combat the only way fae survive is by being less dangerous than the person they're loyal to.

Utility != combat sad.gif

Don't wiccans give out thier mana and health healing fae to novices now and then?

Yep! happy.gif

So you'd have to be able to send the fae to soemone and have the fae follow that person, not just send them.

And if you could do that, you could also send off the pigwidgeon, which would be slightly helpful from a combat perspective.

I heard somewhere of an ability to turn potions into a tiny little capsule so you can store them in the rift and then fill vialrs

This would be the primary point, as well as the comment about pigwidgeons. The fae would teleport to the target and follow him.

Can only think of one at the moment...

Dragon turtles summoned by Aquamancers to prevent being pushed by waves.

Suggestion - Change Gallop in Riding to be +2 movement per second, rather than like it is now.. or have Gallop be a different form of sprint that works like the original.. since horses are capable of long distance galloping, and it doesn't make much sense that a horse movement would be restricted by a biped's movement restriction.

POWERSIGHT: See how much power is inside a node or nexus. Any node, like the hallifax ones and the astral ones.
