But how about an ability that lets you edit dreams of people sleeping around you, for nightmares or good dreams or night terrors.
Stick a minor ability that would have minimal use in dreamweaving. It could be called dreamdirection, with the flavor being that you are pusing their dreams in a good or bad direction. Good or bad would have opposite effects that would not be anything worth noting in combat, perhaps a very slight bonus to influencing with good, and a malus with bad. It might be only useable in dreamform but it would go something like:
CODE
DREAMWEAVE DIRECT
You reach into
You feel a benevolent presence and bad dreams melt away as you drift deeper into peaceful sleep.
Def:
Restful sleep boosts your ego.
and
CODE
DREAMWEAVE DIRECT
You shove yourself into the dreams of
You feel a malevolent presence as your dreams turn sour and dark.
Def:
Fitful sleep has bruised your ego.
As well as having a very minor boost/nerf to influencing, this could also make the target only recieve dreams that could be flagged as good, such as the flying ones, or bad, such as the entrapment and death ones.
EDIT: Even better! You could have the two do boots to different influence types and be exclusive. So, good would increase empower and seduction some, and perhaps begging, while bad would incease WEakening, Paranoia, and perhaps begging a little. The Def line for Bad would then be like "Fitful sleep has put you in a bad mood" and good "Restful sleep has put you in a good mood" to reflect that it isn't necessarily just a flat minus or plus all around.
Also in dreamweaving, I want a method to scry as a dreambody. While an area scry like Wolf totem scent would be awesome, all I really want is a way to use normal scrying in dreambody. This would work exactly like a scry enchant, throwing the dreambody off balance and being blocked by everything that blocks a scry. In addition, aethersight would pick it up. It's very annoying to find an enemy with a cloaking gem as a dreambody, almost impossible.
I would also like a way for one dreambody to follow another, mostly for outside of combat stuff like going on dreambody walks with guild members.
Can we also have a way to let people who are over 80 sleep long enough to dream if they want to with dreamweaving? It would be a skill that would require unforceable agreement from the target, and would induce unlimited in time sleep on the target, or even better a new sort of state :catnap.
Catnap could also be the name of the skill, but when catnapping, you would get the faster regen of health and endurance, and would not be able to do anything but wake as normal sleep (but wake would insta-wake you, even without kafe). You would also be unable to hear anything, as with sleep. The main difference would be that skills that require you to be asleep to work would not work on you, and any aggressive action on you at all would wake you up. All of that together would mean that 80+ people could sleep if they wanted to for as long as they wanted (for RP reasons, or so that things like the Dreamdirection could be used on them) without worrying about the fast wake up from sleep level fullness, or getting jumped and being asleep. Attacks that induce sleep would function as normal, inducing the catnapper to real sleep. There could also be some other added utility for the dreamweaver when they catnap themselves, though not sure what exactly would be appropriate there.

Combat - Squad Decoy
Syntax: SQUAD DECOY ON/OFF
Available to the commandant of a squad. Through coordinated movement and the use of proper formation, the commandant will draw the attention of all aggressives upon entry into a location. Aggressives that enter the location will also target the commandant before any others in the squad.

Intended use: keeping lowbies safe while taking them through the Undervault, and other assorted places.
Should probably be non-forceable, and ineffectual against org guards.

I read the middle first, and saw Decay, and got confused.

Give herbalists access to Growth, Guard and Regrowth.

Poisonous Blood for Nekotai.
You sip a vial of poison and store it in your bloodstream.
Whenever you bleed, there's a chance based on the amount of bleeding that a single enemy/all enemies are hit with the poison in your blood. Lasts for maybe 1 splash per 5 sips.

Seems like it may be overkill with Harb Widowsmercy, damage and affliction backlash?

I'm not sure that aetherhunting particularly needs to have this added. The idea behind damageshift was to equalise the DPS between players with one attack, and multiple attacks. Since all players only have one attack per balance for aetherhunting, there is no discrepancy to address. I also don't think aetherhunting needs any more buffs. It is very profitable as-is, being the source of most of the newer demigods.

How about a skill or artifact that allows you to peek into a dimensional rift before you enter it?
Sylphas2011-11-18 18:53:02
After dying to a few of them, YES PLEASE.

Edit: realized this idea wasn't for this thread. My bad!

A new ability in Necromancy called Lich Tongue (or similar), or an addition to "Mastery" that allows Necromancers their own language.
Think Crow Tongue, but for Necromancers.
