October 7'th is the anniversary. And it's on a Saturday. Hurrah.

WOOHOO! This is exciting. I'll have my laptop then too, so I can definitely be back. It'll be a full two years since I started playing, too O_o. Weeeird.

But Estarra has said that aethercraft specs is what a coder (probably the new one) has been focused on for a while now. Its likely we'll see both Nexus worlds and Aethercraft specs coming on the anniversary.

The fact that the new Gods announcement came with lots of lag, which means game updates, is another good sign that its something big that's coming.

Either that or they're making wagers as to the number of hunting deaths a good lag will cause.

Um..Aetherspace worlds connected to a Nexus, at least Im pretty sure that is it. Get to put improvements on it I think, if they keep with what we discussed.

But is octobor 7th the day the game was finished from all Beta Testing, or what? I think it's when the game started Open Beta testing but I might be wrong. Could someone please fill that in?

I'd love to see the 2 cities return, but that's not gonna happen for a while... Still need some more Playerbase... We probably have enough for one new nexus to hold up, but not 2 at once.

But then again, only the Admin knows. I'm sure they'll do something special. I read about what they did with the last one. I'm glad that it is on a Saturday. I'll be able to spend all day on!! Whee!! I look forward to it, that I do.

October 7th was the date that the game officially opened to the public as Open Beta testing. Characters were not wiped at the end of that time and life continues on in the Basin from that very first moment of awareness.

It would figure that the date of the second year anniversary is on a saturday, one of the two days that I cannot play because I will be home and the shrew will not allow me to participate in online text games. ::sniff:: Maybe we could have like the official celebration on Friday the 6th so that I too can enjoy the exciting events that may or may not happen. I miss all the good stuff. Anyone want a wife?

Last year there were celebrations for a whole week, with it peaking on Friday-Sunday.

Bump--so, being as the two-year anniversary is only two weeks away, I'd guess we should start hearing about things like Auctions, Lotteries, etc.

And it looks like a plot is afoot.

And there's the poetry contests, of course--with a supposedly big award.

And we got the ship skills finished.

C'mon, let's get some announcements going.

I hope there are some contests of skill, too, for people who don't have many gold/credits to spare. Like a big quiz, or a scavenger hunt, or some unviolent arena events with big prizes. That would rock.

I run unviolent arena events on Avechna's Peak quite often, with prizes and everything when the mood strikes me, but rarely do I get more than 5 people joining in for fun. I've heard a rumour that everyone is afraid of my pet gingerbread man, but this just can't be true. He's harmless! Honest...
