What I'm going to do here is post things about figurines, and then update the original post. Once we think we have a complete guide, I'll close the thread, and create a new completed version.
If you have an interesting tidbit about figurines, or you want to post what the AB file says, please do so. Note that some of the files don't actually tell us what they do, so we may need some divine help.
I'll start with what I have:
AB ARTS MINIATURES
Syntax: SCULPT FIGURINE OF
Your model must also be in the same location as yourself, or you must have three
sketches of your model.
Ingredients:
blank figurine 1
AB FORGING MINIATURES
Syntax: FORGE MINIATURE KNUCKLES
FORGE MINIATURE HELMET
DRESS WITH
You can forge small knuckles and helmet made especially for figurines. This will
allow the figurine to do increased damage as well as afford a small amount of
protection.
NOTE: Figurines wearing knuckles/helmet cannot also be coated in quicksilver or
poison.

No real point right now, but no reason to let it go to waste. Or, you could always try to beat a god.

Syntax: SEW MINICLOAK
DRESS WITH
At a tailoring workbench, you can sew miniature cloaks that will protect against breath weapons.

yes they decay. Also, each time they win a battle, their decay time gets longer.
ab jewelry Miniatures
Syntax: CRAFT FIGURINE
You may craft blank figurines for artisans. The commodities required to
create a figurine are: gold 1 marble 2 powerstone 2
Question :
I have noticed that I can price and sell minimeals, and feed the figurine myself. I know though that only a herbalist can pack sparkleberries though. How about the dressing? the cloak, and the armour? My figurine's armour keeping breaking!
Oh, and powerstones do not have to be full.

Bookbinding
Syntax: SCRIBE MAGIC SCRIPT ON
Scribing magic script over a figurine will afford it the ability to occasionally
cast shields to stop damage (though not poison clouds). This takes 50
applications of magic ink.
Also looking for a vial of magic ink btw

Oh. So it'd be impossible to have a real collection unless you fought them and won now and then, huh?
Daganev2006-09-19 17:18:29
Or you can keep them in a chest/shop/other thing that reduces decay.

Hey, yeah! Thanks! I'd forgotten about that!

Don't think chests reduce decay...Shops do! Cabinets stop decay for clothes, racks for weapons/armor, baskets for food.
