I wanted to clarify: is beckoning out of home territory into neutral permissable? as in.. from the nw gatehouse of Celest to the road just outside? because I remember hearing that it isn't, and yet, I can't recall where I heard/saw that.

According to the last stated policy it is, but since recently it isn't being punished anymore for whatever reason.
Tervic2006-09-10 08:26:35
meh, that's annoying then.
EDIT: oh, and ytraelux, if you can tell me where that's quoted from, I'd be much grateful indeed
RE-EDIT: after more digging (http://lusternia.ire-community.com/index.php?showtopic=10081&hl=exploi) it would seem that beckoning across city borders is permissable, for whatever reason.... I'd really really really appreciate Divine comment and perhaps even a help scroll regarding beckoning and summoning across borders.

From neutral into enemy is not allowed. From allied into neutral is.
Shamarah2006-09-10 11:54:54
It's allowed.
Unknown2006-09-10 11:56:19
Much to our disappointment, yes it is.
So this sums it up:
Summoning to tuned statue to personal enemies - Allowed
Beckoning out from Enemy to Neutral Territory - Allowed

What about statues tuned to clans?
Rauros2006-09-10 14:21:36
Quit your clan.
Tervic2006-09-10 19:28:00
Alright then what about the other way? from neutral into (your) allied, their enemy? I think the problem here is if it's permissable across a border. I remember seeing a news announce about it a loong time ago...
Soll2006-09-10 19:44:12
I think that is impossible due to mechanics. You can't beckon from neutral to enemy.

And yet somehow Leef managed to do it.

People get beckoned into the guards on Celestia all the time, and the Pool of Stars there counts as part of Celest, or else there couldn't be guards there, according to the admins.
Acrune2006-09-11 16:07:21
Fairly confident that it's supposed to be impossible only on prime, I've seen messages showing people getting repelled from enemy territory when some one tried to force them in. Its obviously very possible and allowed to summon/beckon/tackle/trap people into a nexus off prime, as its done all the time and no one gets leafy.

But remember when those archways were added to Ethereal? People kept forcing Visaeris out of Etherglom/into Etherwilde and he issued them over it, because it was against the rules. Estarra said something about it being illegal and circumventing it being exploiting bugs, and decided to completely stop it from happening by adding in the archways.
At least, that is how I remember it.
Acrune2006-09-11 16:40:56
Maybe its different going from allied territory right to enemy territory? Heh, I dunno, was a long time ago, I'm sure policies have changed since then. Really wish admins would clear these things up so we stop seeing so many "Is this okay?" threads.
Sylphas2006-09-11 19:25:32
I had thought the archways were more to stop cudgeling back and forth over the border. Even though it was incredibly easy to stop just by shielding. We had to enter enemy territory to nullify.
I miss my cudgelvolley script.

This was -on prime-. NW celest gate. so it's clearly not impossible, yet half the stuff I see says "not allowed" and the other half says "allowed". At least the agressors were civil about it, so until a Divine comments here I guess all I can do is
