Though from rp point of view, the spider's legs could break off easily if your really using the staff.

You know, I've always wondered if Viravain and Baalphegar have some king od dark agreement with the spider thing...

The latest design. Artistically, this one's my favourite. Roleplay-wise, I don't like the web there - It's too much like Viravain's symbol, and Verithrax prefers trapdoor spiders. But it was the only believable way of putting the spider inside the crescent without changing the spider's or the crescent's proportions.

I can tell that you were never an Aquamancer or a Geomancer. You are just a general mage.

The staff's nothing like a twisted staff

It has gold twisted around it.

And you could have the spider just kind of hovering there, glowing eerily and maybe slowly revolving. Or have it hovering/alive inside a kind of green glass globe

I deliberately wanted it to be very different from a twisted staff, but it's still a Geomancer staff. If you look at the racial pictures in the website, you'll see all four mages. Aquamancers have staves made of coral, Pyromancers use metal, Aeromancers use crystal, Geomancers use stone (That staff, incidentally, looks nothing like an in-game twisted staff). That staff is made of obsidian (The original idea was just a gloss rod of obsidian) and adorned with gold and rubies to match Veri's colour scheme (He likes black and gold. A lot.)

Additionally, the two staves available now all look like they are given to you by the element. Veri's staff looks like it was made.

I like the second staff best.

But then I like simple.

I liked the glass globe idea... the transparency here may not look quite right.

I love that style and the latest design for the staff is my favorite so far, but it kind of reminds me of some demented candy cane or barber's pole.

Maybe you could have a cracked globe, or an elongated N shape for the staff?

Love the Baalphegar symbol. Would like to see Gorgulu's, though you might need to do a hit of PCP beforehand in order to capture the sheer madness of it.
