I always liked the Walker's crest. And for those who can't figure it out, each stone represents a city/commune

Blue=Celest
Black =Magnagora
Red =Gaudiguch
Sky blue =Halifax
Green = Serenwilde
Purple = Glomdoring
Yellow = Ackleberry

and the middle one I believe is supposed to be a diamond but it's gray glare.gif

Bzzt! Wrong. The sky blue one is supposed to be a diamond, but diamonds are undrawable, so I made it a blue diamond. The center one is a piece of smoky quartz, which is supposed to represent unity and middle ground, as well as being a nod to Lacostian.

And no, Hallifax is exactly where it's supposed to be - on top.

Then you need to move everything else.

Halifax is between Mag and Ackelberry.

It was planned like that. It's a mistake, I know, but it's a mistake I want to keep.

Verithrax was a Lost city lover and wanted to have Hallifax on top and he also wanted to be a big part of it.

I just knew there was a diamond, not sure where it was supposed to be unsure.gif

Yay, new spider. Beefier. has more depth.

The legs were waaay better in the last one. This one looks more I TROG! FEAR ME! and less Muahaha! I am a cunning evil subtle manipulative beast! (said subtlely)

That one was based off an actual image of a trapdoor spider.

But, I think that the golden, sharp version of the thinner one looks much better:

This image was very complex to produce, but I'm happy with the overall result, ignoring a few things.

I'm also relatively happy that, apparently, the values and personality traits I've tried to impart to Verithrax are now part of Lusternia's shared consciousness.

Nothing whatsoever to do with Lusternia - Just me being a graphics goober - but this is my current pride and joy. The internal shading (The rigid shading inside the opening in the cog) is a brilliant trick I stumbled upon completely by accident.

Yes! Another spider. And now I'll be addressing some concerns.

Concern number 1: "ZOMG VERITHAX WHY DO U LUV SPIDRS SO MUCH U R A BAD MAN U R GOING 2 HELL"

Alright, maybe it's not phrased like that... at all. But yes, I seem to like spiders, as they're a powerful artistic motif with a lot of room for variation. The amount of room for variation it has allows me to keep drawing new ones (And tweaking old ones, like the 'classic' design above) for quite some time.

Concern number 2: "LOL N00B SPIDERS HAVE 8 LEGS"

Yes they do. Spiders also have two sets of pedipalps, which, in most species of tarantula (I'm pushing for a more tarantula-like look here, and trying to move away from the Latrodectus (Black widow) family of spiders) said pedipalp is long enough to be mistaken for a leg. Additionally, I want Verithrax's spider to look more or less monstrous and/or twisted.
