I recently took Narses over to Celest, and I am having quite a bit of fun.

Anyways, He is trans Celestialism, soulles in tarot (all but world), and up to ressurect in sacraments

Now, I do have some general experience in guardian battle but I would like to hear tips from people who are better then me (85% of the members in these forums).

Tips about power investing and the like would be great.

Thanks.
Narses.

Generally I use anorexia/stupidity or anorexia/stupidity/vapors. Basically you'll be killing with soulless or absolve (there isn't really much reason to judge in a duel, though you can do it on someone who isn't very good if you don't want to bother charging a soulless). Soulless is a good way to kill; because you have to gather the 7 rubs first, I recommend leaving your angel on passive while you rub it so as not to waste your wrathed attacks. Since you don't have inquisition yet, you don't really have any way of stopping people from tumbling away from your soulless so the best way to get it off against someone who does have tumble is generally to use it while they have blackout from vapors. You'll know they got hit with the vapors affliction when you see your angel hug them (but be careful, if they already have the vapors affliction and have not cured it yet they will NOT be blacked out; they get blackout when you see them become overwhelmed and fall to the ground). Alternatively, you can kill with absolve, in which case you'll want to entangle and aeon them, then quicken and start using amissio. If you don't have contemplate yet, you'll have to go on intuition as to when to actually use absolve - be careful you don't do it too soon or you'll waste power and have to wait for it to come back before you can try again, by which time they'll be healed up.

Though its a point to note that once you have 7 rubs, any decent combatant will tumble out after each blackout. Its a safety measure and healthy amount of respect for soulless afterall.

As for absolve, try to get contemplate in discernment so you can view their mana levels and set a script to amissio if the target is above half mana, and go for absolve if below.

Oh and judgement is great in group combats, just not 1v1.

also, check the index for the Seminary clan-there is a good file in there that shows how to kill with each of our skills-what to invest your angel on, what to look for and when to do each skill. It'll help you get started. Wish I had found it when I was just learning....

I have read through them, and I thought they were a bit limiting. Narses has Shakiniel's symbol and Hypochondria did wonders for him. I kept vapors/stupidity up and just used my symbol to instill anorexia and then aeoned- Are these patterns the -only- killing methods out there?.

What about dazzle? it seems useful, or is it easily blocked?.

Thanks in advance peeps.

There isn't a single set of combo that you have to adhere to. Feel free to experiment and find what set works best in what situation.

And don't forget the absurdly powerful instakill on Celestia - lust during vapor, run to the pool, empress sad.gif

Sorry! tongue.gif
Your demesne, no aquamancer to break it, (Ekard is around but asking him to fight on Telnet?) Had to do it

Yeah, I felt bad for Ekard sad.gif I'm not going to stop raiding just because someone's on Telnet though, just like you beckoned Krellan into guards knowing he was linkdead.

I just wish that empress-into-guards wasn't so absurdly effective. Lead in a group of three, two disable, third lusts, third runs back to the pool and empresses before the attacked person has time to reject...

Dont worry about me. I just should not go in your demesne. tongue.gif
