Its rare for me to see Guilds holding parties and hunting parties in Lusty. I think just some sort of get together would be nice. Like for Hartstone they could hold a celebration to Hart or some such on a certain day, Shadowdancers holding a ritual on the New moon or something...but the only thing is getting people to participate.

Some of us in the Seren are working on that. For example, just recently Tandrin took his Serenguard oath. We invited all the Seren in the Lodge to witness this tradition. From an IC standpoint, we're trying to get all the Seren involved with each other. From an OOC standpoint, I'm trying to enrichen the culture of the Serenwilde. Guilds can do alot when they try.

Hunting parties also work wonders.

You just have to remember that hte point of the hunting party is not to get maximum XP, its to build community.

The Hart idea is neat, but the thing about what you proposed for the Shadowdancers is that theres a New Moon every game month, so every day thered be one. If there was a way to pinpoint a Winter Solstice(sp?) though, thatd be great for the Moondancers and Shadowdancers, longest Night of the year.

Thank you for the ideas.

The Paladins invite all of Celest to come watch when they're knighting someone. More people come than you might expect.

Ive seen the Serenguard do that once or twice. The Moondancers invite people to their graduating rituals if they want to, the Hartstone are asked to attend the Path Rites if theyd like to. We have them, theyre just small and required of at least two people.

Moonies could hold a welcome to the spring and summer on the first day of those seasons whereas Shadowies could do it on the first of autumn and winter. Maybe the Wilde could hold a may pole sort of event? And BT could have a feast for Crow... hmmm... I think it'd be a good idea for each guild/city/commune to have a set date for an event that way people can look forward to it, to get the adrenline rushing as they come home knowing that today is Feast of Blood or something. Kind of like Christmas morning.

I would think the Druids would get in on the cycles of nature, also I wouldn't restrict them to Glom vs Seren

We need to start doing that when we give someone the title of mage. Although that happens waay too sporadically. We need to figure out how those knight guilds get all those people to get off their arses and get the 'sir' prefix.

Is getting the title of Mage required to get to GR2 or GR3?
Verithrax2006-09-19 20:15:31
Only people who finish an advancement path (Which are necessarily at least GR3) can wear 'mage' as a title in any way.
Ashteru2006-09-19 20:34:42
Becoming a Knight just sounds cooler than becoming a Mage. tongue.gif
Daganev2006-09-19 20:37:34
Instead of becoming a "mage" have them become Archmages, or Sorcerers, or Aetheric Manipulators. tongue.gif
