Ildaudid and Reiha have perfect RP for their kids: since Reiha liked to drink a lot to the point where she would pass out as a youth, and since she and her sister would often host ToD parties with lots of people, she had lots of one night stands with Ildaudid without remembering him in particular. She found herself pregnant often, and would leave her babies at the Portal of Fate. Because she was so caring. This explains why Reiha has lots of children, ever since the tender age of thirteen. She was quite the tramp.
As for the various races of their children... (grandmother) Athana changeling, (grandfather) Ixion human, (parents) Reiha/ Ildaudid have been: merian (Reiha), viscanti, human, (grandmother) Yukari Lobo, (grandfather) Lyco Aslaran (I think). But with Athy as a changeling, it would be alright to have children of various races I think in our situation, by blood.
Now that I am done, free feel to mock my rock solid reasoning. And PM Ildaudid if you want to be one our kids.

Yes, that makes it so tempting.

I need a wife now so I can adopt Reiha.
Sadly, almost nobody is old enough and still around and available.

why a wife?
At this time and age you can go around with a husband due to our liberal ideals and dramatics

Only read the first few posts. Two people of different or the same race giving birth to a child that shares its race with neither is perfectly reasonable. Remember how, in the portal, the fates ask you what race you remember being, and a reincarnation is offered "in case you chose incorrectly"? You'd just roleplay it that you gave birth to a child of the parents' race but while inside the Portal of Fate it told the Fates the wrong race, likely on accident.

That actually makes a lot of sense. How come I never thought of that....?
(Nobody answer that.)

But Reiha already has a crazy mother who likes being crucified on a daily basis (Yukari) and a negligent father who is hardly around (Lyco)

This is how I always took it:
When you go through the Portal of Fate, the Fates pull your thread out of the Tapestry and then reweave it. This breaks your connections to the world and the people in it. That's why you forget your past, and that's also why your past forgets you -- why no one remembers you, even your birth parents. Gradually as you wander around, your thread reweaves itself into place, and thus, gradually you remember and reconnect, and the world remembers you and reconnects to you.
I don't know if that's precisely what Estarra intended. But the imagery sure fits, and it explains how family consideration works.
