Celest isn't dead to me, it's merely beaten, bloodied, burnt to a crisp, hung, suffocated, drowned, disemboweled, and otherwise impaired for an unknown but most likely eternal duration.

I actually tried working on the Mes'ard extended family tree ages ago, before Kiarlea turned out to be a sister, and gave up because it seemed too complicated even then. By "extended" it semi-tried to include Sayelles and Skyla's (unofficial) son with Tuek whose name I can't remember anymore but who was Tatiana's, Sivriel's and my older half-brother. Now we've added more extensions and relations-by-marriage so it'd be even more complicated.

Aha, and if you're going to include once-family-connections even if they were never official ... Bau Sayelle (sister of Skyla Sayelle who married Gregori Mes'ard, who had the beginning pack of us) was once, I believe, Vix's mother until Vix disowned the association. Vix is now with Nejii Talanara, making the entire Talnara family a sub-branch from one of the extended connections. *sagenod*

Mes'ard family motto (revised edition): You're related to us, you just might not realize it yet.

That is why I hate Lusternian families. During Kahazul's engagement to Daxera I found out that I'd, due to a totally incomprehensible series of marriages, divorces, and other events, be related to about 90% of Celest's active population. It made my head hurt.

But see, then if someone jumps you you can say "b-but ... you're my father's brother's son's mother's cousin's aunt-by-marriage's daughter's son's father! How can you do that to family?!"

Another good thing about the Mes'ard's ... we put organization loyalty above family loyalty (at least, we'd better if we know what's good for us ) . I've only helped to kill Cousin Hallen once and been killed by Uncle Ix once, though.

but, Pooka says that Dylara doesn't count. Pooka gets very mad when they try to steal the Kalas thunder. You don't want to see Pooka mad, now, do you? Pooka can do some terrible things to poor Tsuki.

Poor child, you must be misinformed. Pookas love and adore Tsuki and as such will only be nice and friendly even if they play with her.

Well, the Pookas now love me. Well, one can say that we both love each other and in the future there might be satyr looking Faelings named Ortisio, Ortisferg, Ortily or something like that. Love potion laced Honeycakes and influence works wonders on those Fae, but I feel I am playing a little bit on the Godish side.
