Make meditation recharge more willpower per tic.

read the headline.

Willpower regen is so painfully slow that skillsets like dreamweaving that are very willpower intensive are painful.

At the very least give dreamweavers a nicer willpower option than the 20/tic meditation. Even with a willpower gem, it's a scrawny 30 wp/tic, but considering max willpower for a level 65 viscanti geomancer is 16325, that's barely one tenth of one percent per tic, making a full recharge of willpower take a very, very, painfully long time.

EDIT: a tic is about 8 seconds, so a total of 1000 tics is 8000 seconds, or 2.2 hours. Thus why I think there needs to be a change. for endurance too. And don't say get killed in the arena because that's abusing the arena and I am slightly opposed to that. And I say make meditation/sleeping boost it so that there's no change to the actual combat using those aspects, only the recovery time. 2 hours is just silly to force a dreamweaver to recover from combat.

DOUBLEDIT: No, I'm not a dreamweaver.

HELP DISCIPLINE

What's your discipline level?

It can still take a while, but note that it will be faster/slower depending on how much discipline you've learned.

And don't forget the jewellery rune that increases willpower regen, too!

How about a rocking chair?

I've been saying there should be willpower and endurance regeneration enchantments since October of 2004. True story, I just checked.

There's manse gem, willpower rune, green man tint for hartstone, probably some bloody psionic ability, and rocking chair which all help.

Still takes a long time to regenerate though. I wish dreamweavers could give good dreams that restored willpower. sad.gif

Ironwill. It's still painful, even with it.

And to all you who say spend more lessons, lets just say I would if I could, but alas, I can not. There's this thing called money that one needs to buy credits, and I don't have a whole lot of it to throw around.

There's loads of ways to speed your regen already, and I'm pretty sure there are artifacts the boost willpower and endurance regeneration. I'd prefer to see certain skills drain less willpower, such as dreamweaving, than have its regen boosted across the board.

Well i find the same problem if i wind up ghosting even, it doesnt help that its orlcach willpower , then toss on the fact my willpower is fluctuating, so i always wind up losing willpower or then being at half as the day/night changes -1int to +2

Rocking chair, manse gem, ironwill in psionics on all three channels, meditate, and trans discipline are what help me. However, recovering willpower from virgin bleeding is just painful.

I'm not sure if it stacks, I just do it.

It still sucks majorly, even with ironwill.
Shorlen2006-09-19 06:33:16
From my testing, willpower regen is less than endurance regen with HIGHER discipline than resilience and HIGHER max willpower than max endurance.

I think there's a bug here.
Verithrax2006-09-19 06:43:58
There's a way of getting full willpower in not much time, though. It's a simple method:

1 - Find a sucker.

2 - Psychic vampirism.

Sadly, the best way to regen willpower is probably to let yourself die on org controlled properly, or vitae. This is assuming you want full willpower in any reasonable sort of time.

The lame way that I will NOT do is to throw a spar.

I would consider doing that bug abuse if it works. Haven't tried it myself, but it should probably be bugged, if you haven't already. Since right, that is a pretty lame way to regen willpower.

It isn't bug abuse since it isn't a bug. It's just plain abuse, since it's, well, abuse, just like getting someone to throw a spar just so you can defup for 0p tongue.gif

An idea would be to have regeneration increase over time as you sleep or med. This is derived from FFXI which I play.

So say you regen 20 will power per second, every 6 seconds the amount you regen increases.

So say for each second you wil regen like this

20, 20, 20, 20, 20, 20, 30, 30, 30, 30, 30, 30, 40, 40, 40 .... and so on and so forth. Breaking mediation or waking up resets it.

As for Discipline affecting regeneration rates, it could be that the the amount of willpower or endurance regenned that increases per 6 seconds is boosted accordingly.
