My roommate and like two other of my best friends are pledging a fraternity. I've gone to a few of their parties. It's just free beer, people getting drunk, and lots of smoking. I'm not anti-alchohol, but like, there had better be a point other than getting totally wasted and acting like an idiot like I've seen a few too many people do.

It does seem to provide a solid social core, but I'm not sure how most fraternities/sororities treat those outside. I think I'll just stay outside the Greek system for now.

Well.. my campus is dry.. and even though we -do- host the Kilt Kegger (which is the biggest campus party from what I've heard).. members of the social club cannot drink at the event. I'm anti-boozehound so yeah.. this works well for me. At least now I have a valid excuse for why I'm not drinking.

I'm anti-social. I hate those frat/sor type of organizations. We don't have anything like that in dear Mexico so I was supprised by the things they do. All of my friends are in Mexico. It's strange since I feel that I should be in my town's TI, but ended up in UT Brownsville.

But seriously, I was the kind of guy that would get beat up by those frat boys, except that I was only punched once and it was a sucker punch. I feel like some of these guys know me and I'm afraid it will be all highschool again. The bad parts.

Ah.. that reminds me of why I didn't go to a community college... where everyone already knew me.

There is only one girl that went to my school here and we hate each other with a passion. (Like the I'm going to claw your eyes out passion) So just ignore the few that do know you. It's rather easy to do on campus and mine is really really small so even if yours is the same size as mine or bigger it's doable.

If they try something, stand up for yourself. It can either go two ways, theyll either see that youre not standing for it or get worse. If you do nothing, it will just get worse.

When I stood up I got a lip busted and my teeth almost fell. The guy just ran out of school. Mind this was just a couple of months before graduating and the annoyances were little more than 3 months old. I was too much into my girlfriend to actually care about those guys, but when I did care the bastard punched me. I just feel sorry for him because right now I know that when he punched me, her 16 year old girlfriend got pregnant and she was living with him. So he's pretty much screwed.

Either way, the people that could know me in this college are a bunch of mexican rich guys. It's really rare to see Mexicans in this school unless you drive 04-06 expensive trucks and your parents are rich as hell. Bunch of preppy guys. I'm more of the 'hood' so to speak. Very indie. I usually don't see anyone I don't wanna see so I don't have any problems. If I do, well, I could pretty much file a suit for harrasement and they would be out of college.


Yeah campus is big. Very pretty I can avoid them and probably will once I get out of these pesky basics I have to finish.

I'm in Calculus one and haven't started on Physics. FFS my girlfriend's already taking thermodynamics.

We have the Queer Collective, and I guess if I felt like I needed more gay friends or needed to resolve some issues I'd go along to it...but no.

Other than that we just have different themed social clubs.
