I need a Cosmic enchanter. Badly.

I'm tired-as-hell that I can't explore most places because Waterwalking would make it sooooooooo much more easier.

I'm PO'd that without Enlargement, I'm being perma-stunned against most every warrior I fight.

I hate that I've got no way to regen health and mana.

I hate that all I've got is vines to entangle people with.

But moreover I HATE BEING PERMA STUNNED.

Cosmic Enchanters are sick of being screwed over on powerstone prices.
And have realised that enchanting is about the most boring thing you could ever hope to do in the game.

And all the sensible ones have forgotten the skillset and learned something more interesting.
And us stupid ones, just don't bother enchanting anymore.

The powerstones though, Tekora mentioned this on IRC but I didn't get a chance to ask about it before getting distracted. What's up with powerstone prices?

Typical and normal price of powerstones are now around 2000 gold; when I'm lucky, I manage to get them for 1500 (or 1200 if it is a friend). Since cubes cost around 35-45 gold per charge, enchanters usually charge 25-35. But since all powerstones are 2000, that is only a 5 gold per charge of profit to the enchanter, assuming they are charging 25 per and bought the stone for 2000 gold per.

So, an enchanter would only make 50 gold off a ring. Not worth the time and hassle of finding powerstones.

I don't even bother with service fees, unless they are from Glom, Celest, or somebody especially rude. I usually do them for free for family and good friends, or charge the basic covering cost (15-20 gold per charge), since enchanters are often needed, and we need our people properly deffed up.

Cost of enchantments should increase a little.
I remeber when powerstones was like now 2000-2500gp price for recharges were like around 40-50gp
Me and Shanic and few other tried to set prices for 50gp per charge. But some people started to undercut prices then powerstones prices dropped to 500 gp so 25gp per charge was ok. Right now prices should rise for sanity of enchanters who spend cr to learn tradeskill in hop of making gold in future.

I've been tempted to go cosmic enchanter, but as its been said, powerstones are too expensive, and I'd have to charge 40 gold a charge for it to be worth walking to the enchanting room. Sorry

Hm, is enchanting really repetitive like herbing or forging? Herbing seemed to make pretty good money, but SOOOOO slow (and someone buy Keldor's 1933 arnica! )
