Might make for some good rituals too...
I'm not complaining about the skill at all, just trying to point out that the AoE version is not something I see as worth using in 99% of situations.
hrm, can it be forced? That would really suck.
Unknown2006-09-21 16:52:28
the AoE version would probably be reeeally nice for taking out a Supernal or Demonlord. Get 2-3 druids capable of Saccing, with a large group of people. And have it organized so that the large group can get in 3-4 attacks without any wait. That would be a pretty hefty advantage.
OH! Even better if you were attacking from an Aethership docked on the plane, and you deepbonded the druids so that they'd conglute to the ship and be able to come out and do it again.

heh, the abbreviation 'AoE' to me means Age of Empires, an old RTS game.

That that old. And AoE3 just came out!
AoE3. Love cannon balls knocking people off cliffs and into the sea

Yeah, its awesome. Wish I could play on my computer, instead have to go to Narids.

Area of Effect is another meaning.
Shiri2006-09-22 01:29:36
I always think area of effect. D&D (where I picked it up, not where it originated) > Age of Empires. (Might be because I was playing the horrendously obnoxious to navigate console variation but.)

Not to bash you Zarquan, but your combat sense is mostly theoretical than practical. Anyone with any combat experience will tell you that an active lust ability (read: parade) is AN AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME ability against mages/druids because you can totally halt their demesne indefinately to catch up on healing if you need to do so 1-on-1. You can lust nearly as fast as they can reject.
Vix2006-09-22 04:21:04
Thought it was said somewhere that parade only moves you to their allies list but doesn't actually "lust" like the tarot?
Athana2006-09-22 04:21:42
An active lust ability is, in fact, incredibly useful but again I'd like to reiterate that parade is NOT like tarot lust, it removes from your enemy list and adds to allies list which takes absolutely no balance to repair.
EDIT: I type too slow

Hmm, are you sure? I'm sure I've used anatine and parade me to lust myself to myself before.
Edit:
You feel an unusually strong lust for Elryn.
Really, it's not that unusual...

Parade is an active lust ability. I suppose you are correct, Narsrim. From the perspective of a warrior in group combat, however, I prefer to have passive abilities working to do things like that while I use my balances to swing my weapons. In a one-on-one fight, the active lust could definitely be beneficial.
Sylphas2006-09-22 12:04:42
Tested with Elysiana, Parade is lust. I was so hoping to be able to prove Narsrim wrong.
Vix2006-09-22 23:08:04
Whatever to proving Narsrim wrong, lust is awesome.
