Is that non-prime docks only? does it force ships already docked there into aetherspace? does it blow them up? ...so many questions about that one skill...

Detailed ABs I have so far (I'm fabled atm, dunno if I'll trans)

Your abilities while using a battle turret are such that all operations you
enact upon it shall be faster than non-combateers. This skill is automatic.

Syntax: TURRET STRIP
Module: Battle Turret
Power: 3

For whichever ship you are targetting, you will cause her shields to fall apart.

Syntax: TURRET REPULSE
Module: Battle Turret

For whichever ship or aether beast you are targetting, you will blast it into a
nearby location.

Syntax: TURRET MURKLE
Module: Battle Turret
Power: 1

For the ship module you are targetting, afflicting it with murkle will cause it
to malfucntion at random times.

Syntax: TURRET SLUDGE
Module: Battle Turret

Covering a ship with sludge will cause it to slow down.

Syntax: TURRET RUPTURE
Module: Battle Turret
Power: 3

Upon creating a rupture in aetherspace, any ship or aether beast that encounters
the rupture will suffer damage.

Syntax: TURRET WORBLE
Module: Battle Turret
Power: 1

Cause a targetted module to respond slowly to its commands.

Syntax: TURRET SIPHON
Module: Battle Turret

You can now use a battle turret to siphon energy from a targetted ship, provided
its shields do not interfere.

(no AB for JinsonJolt)

Syntax: TURRET MARMUCKLE
Module: Battle Turret
Power: 5

Give murkle to all modules on the targetted ship.

Syntax: TURRET SHOCK
Module: Battle Turret
Power: 8

A shock blast will cause your targetted ship or aether creature to be stunned
into brief immobility.

Syntax: TURRET SHOCKWAVE
Module: Battle Turret

Leaving behind shockwave energy, any ship or creature that encounters it will be
briefly stunned.
Daganev2006-09-21 01:43:36
>Syntax: GRID DEEPBOND
Module: Empathic Grid
Power: 10

Giving someone a deepbond will cause them to conglutinate to your ship if they die on the ship or
any plane the ship is docked at, except for the Prime Material Plane.

Ummm... that is much better than trans planar *peer*

I hope we don't have too many commanders

Looks like there are some good ways to ambush ships now.

I haven't really tested my ship since I've added a third room, but the two-room ships were pretty fast still. I think I will choose the basic commander specialization just because I simply do not have the credits I would need to purchase other modules. sad.gif

SEAL

Syntax: PILOT SEAL START/STOP
Module: Command Chair

You can move your ship to prevent people from leaving your location via a dock
or rift, although ships will still be able to pass through them towards your
location

0% Trans

Syntax: PILOT SPIRAL START/STOP
Module: Command Chair
Power:  10

By sending your ship into a spiral flight, you can both increase the ship's
speed and make her perfectly dodge all incoming attacks.

So... how does the power things work? Can a single room ship put on spiral, and silentrun, and just ignore mobs?
Unknown2006-09-21 02:33:40
More sleep deprivation...grr...

Anyway, had to take advantage. That is definately my last credit purchase until the Spring, but I now have gold, gave enough people some credits on the cheap (including a few select freebies), got somebody else some lessons for credits, learned Empathy, and got to test some things with Elryn. (And I got somebody to shout my Motto as well!)

All in all, a good night. Too bad I can't be part of a battle yet.

Only sad thing--I was planning to offer special rates to the Deepnight clan and the White Wind, but nobody took advantage of my offer, so I was surprised at that.

LF3M for Aether raid, need a Healer errr... Empath, PST. Will summon you.
Unknown2006-09-21 03:05:08
Did they happen to up the experience from Aetherbeasts now as well?
Unknown2006-09-21 04:00:00
Um... can someone test spiral somehow? It looks like it's essentially 'god mode', unless it's only temporary or has some glaring disadvantage.

Obviously its temporary.

Aethercreatures have been upgraded with the "Untrapped error" skill. Attempting to target them will kill Lusternia apparently. That's what the experience so far has been for me anyway.
Unknown2006-09-21 05:17:14
Nerf untrapped error!

So since I own an aethership, I should go commander? I don't particularily want too, though it makes most sense. People going Commander specialization wouldn't make sense if they don't own a ship either I think.
Unknown2006-09-21 09:12:02
"Commander" is more for piloting. It's possible to own a ship and let somebody else drive it. Elryn let Tully do a drive while he tested his new empath skills. (And I think this is when we discovered creatures doing ship afflictions).

Granted, it might seem logical to choose that but you're not going to be very successful in combat if you're by yourself anyway--you need at least 2 other trusted people to make a difference, so good division of skills is important. Also, you may not always drive your own ship--if there's an aethership war, you might want to serve your duty on another vessel.

Honestly, do what you'd like best.
Anarias2006-09-21 10:55:30
Don't just choose Commander since you own a ship. Do what appeals most to you and let someone else take care of the other positions. Elryn and I have been using the Avaerin which is his baby. I pilot it while he works the empath module though. Its a good combination because we're both doing what we wanted to do.

Oh and spiral lasts for thirty seconds.

The AB file for Seal lies. It costs 5p to use.
