Aetherspace Unknowns

Since I'm stuck on the train for a few hours, I was wondering a few things.

1) Now that we know creatures can do more specific damage, I wonder if it's a case of by creature type. That is, we know denizens can do specific afflictions, I'm now wondering if specific aetherspace creatures can perform some of the aethercraft specific afflictions. That will make some types more dangerous than others, and I suspect the higher reaches of Aetherspace will have more deadly afflictions. Anybody want to take out the Tendrils of Kethuru now?

2) Assuming Estarra and Co. are working on the Nexus worlds, I wonder if they'll have levels of power, with some being formed on prime, and others being formed on Astral. If this is the case, just getting there could need a good plan, as it seems the monsters will be more damaging to ships now.

I'm not sure what happened but just a few minutes ago Elryn and I were up with the dragons near the void and a dragon damaged us a bit. It caused module damage and when Elryn tried fixing it, the empath module started damaging the modules he was trying to fix. We determined that when a module is "overpowered" if you will, then it causes harm or malfunctions. More than likely a bug.

Given that though, which is deadlier... the dragons or the ship itself?

Edit - And by overpowered I mean when you have diverted power from one module to another, thereby taking it beyond 100% capacity.

Either that's a malfunction, or the Dragons caused Murkle damage.

Like I said, I just wonder if a few beasts will have the ability to do things like sludge, murkle, or other afflictions.

Edit: Were you near the void. I wonder if getting close to the void acts as "deadened" space.

Hmm...maybe it IS a bug, but then again, never assume... ninja.gif

Now that the rules fo aetherspace have changed, can someone survive in thier one room ship manse?

Or does a person always need a buddy with them?

Oh... And how in the world do personalities work?

They use the words randomly? Its defined greetings? what?

If you are careful you can survive, but if you get too close to beasts now, they might cause module damage, so your command chair might get delayed after a hit.

Personalities are phrases that are said whenever anyone lock, unlock, or perform a few select tasks, said at random. Ialie's says "Don't blow up the ship", while Exarius' purrs.

I'm not sure how a ship without an empathy grid would work now. If a one room ship takes damage to the command chair, how is that fixed?

This problem should be fixed now. There should be no reason to fear your empathic grid anymore!

I'd better tell the Dragon Queen I can't work for her anymore.

(But seriously, thanks! tongue.gif)
