Didn't even explain yet
Its not myth its just misleading name for that potion, allheale dont cure everything.
Xenthos2006-09-22 13:18:59
Deadening, I believe, is an instance that allheale does not cure. It's mostly new afflictions from newer skillsets.
Also, I don't think it cures pinleg, though I could be wrong on this one.

All-heale does not cure dreamweaver afflictions cured by kafe, such as daydreaming and narcolepsy. Although it probably should...
Unknown2006-09-22 16:40:09
Hmm, probably let's check this out about the dreamweaver afflictions plus the pinleg one from Xenthos, might be best if we have a log. If none are working on it, I'll have to ask either Merkada and Shorlen (they are the only dreamweavers I know right now) to do those afflictions and I'll try sipping Allheale.
Tiran2006-09-22 16:47:44
I can already tell you it doesn't from my own experience with daydreaming at least, and someone else had a log with narcolepsy in the combat section, or maybe they were ranting.
A better myth to explore would be what all all-heale does or doesn't cure. Is it worthy of the name all-heale, or should we start calling it almost-all-heale?

I stand corrected, okay then, we'll work on that
EDIT
Okay, for those that believe Allheale didn't cure deadening, here's the log:
A sudden headache makes you rub your temples for relief.
diag
You are:
of a deadened mind.
You have recovered equilibrium.
say ok
You say, "Ok."
drink allheale
You take a drink from a garnet vial.
The allheale burns your throat and makes your eyes water.
You are no longer deadened.
So Allheale cures Deadened Mind, now to work on the others, probably best if we can help each other in finishing this Myth

Actually, you're right. I remember Viravain telling me to cure my deadened mind a while back because it wasn't really bothering me at all and I didn't care to do anything with it, so I did sip allheale and it went away.

Fun fact: Siphon in Nihilism is exactly the same as allheale in terms of what it can and can't cure. I think...
Unknown2006-09-23 13:05:28
Okay, after a few herbs and a few sips of allheale potions wasted followed by a small waste in Power from Shorlen's part, Allheale does NOT cure any dreamweaver's afflictions, thus this part of the myth is completely
Thanks Shorlen!

To clarify: Allheale does not cure Daydreams, Narcolepsy, or Punctured Aura. Thinking about it, allheale should NOT cure punctured aura ever, which is on a delayed cure for a reason.
Tiran2006-09-24 06:00:38
I agree completely, punctured aura should never be cured by allheale, unless it still has the delay in there. Daydreaming and Narcolepsy should be cured by allheale though, and probably have a skill in Healing to cure them as well. Healing Sleep or somesuch.

I'm going to test to see if you can die from your shadow in the beginning of the game. That would be great on deathsight, but my guess is that it doesn't work.

Please do! I've always wondered... but never had the patience to try.
Diamondais2006-09-26 01:18:56
I believe you cant. But feel free to prove me wrong! My memory is good for somethings, but not others.

The results are in!
You CANNOT die from your own shadow. You reach a certain health margin at which the shadow attacks you but you remain unharmed.
Gandal2006-09-26 02:06:09
Hm, couple of others...what happens when you die and don't pray? Also, something cool, I closed the nexus window when I accidentally made a rogue during the sleep thing (after the shadow) and next time I logged in, I was at the Tapestry of Fate, and met someone else that person must have been a bit confused...

Well, you just lose more experience until you pray, or someone rezzs you, I believe

Nothing happens. When you run out of mana you just start losing experience. Eventually you'd hit level 1 (0%) and just stay there.
