Switching Villages Off

In thinking about last years Isune event...

I remember people being real interested and wanting to partake in the event...and then a village went up in the middle of its climax. This sort of disappointed people. I think something similar happened some other time this year as well.

Would it be possible to code a "Village Influence Switch" for the admin to turn off when pre-planned events occur, or delay them for a few days. I have a feeling that a lot of players would rather attend or work on the events than the villages, but "obligation" prevents them from doing so.

I'm just wondering if this is possible.

Yar. This happened during Morgfyre's events as well.

It would also add to realism--I doubt the villages would be thinking of politics if they see gods actin' up.

I would like this change, and I'm sure the divine don't enjoy planing a nifty event just to have players all run off for villages.

As for realism, I need to dissagree, it proves the basin doesn't revolve around "THE EVENT" that is going on.

I second the motion, and wish to move to a vote.

And I vote yay.

Realism shouldn't matter here.

When villages revolt, things move by fast, especially if it's a non-peaced revolt, and things to events could be missed, and events are cool.

This would come in very handy for the anniversary celebrations. smile.gif

Agreed. Stupid horrible-timin' villages.

Yes please. Very, very disappointing to miss out on a big event because of an obligation to do the same old thing in the villages
