Who knows what needs to be changed, updated, or removed in the help files more than the players themselves?

If you know of a help file that is outdated, has errors, or could just do with being more explanitory please post it here with your suggested change to the help file. Include the help file name and help number, if you can.

This post will be pinned, and your suggestions checked routinely so that I may go through them all in the hopes of revamping our Help system.

TOPGUILDS implies that there is a HELP TOPGUILDS. There is not.

Elaborating on the Families helpfile to explain the initials and whatnot in a family tree would be good. I suggested that in another thread you responded to, I haven't checked to see if it was done.

Added Help 4.11.2 - HELP ABBREVIATIONS

HELP ARENAS lists HELP FROGBAITING and HELP BALANCEOFPOWER. Neither of these exist. 17.2 lists FOOZLE, BANDERSNATCH, CTF, EGGHUNT and TUMBLERACE as events. None of these exist. Nor do HOTBERET and KINGGAME, listed in 17.3. HELP BOOKIES does not exist (listed in 17.4).

HELP CURELIST is outdated, last I checked, missing the Narcolepsy, Daydreams, Deadening, and Omniphobia afflictions. Something may need to be added for throatlock and leglock that says they're cured by focusbody, and soemthing may need to be added for all the writhe cures (or a reference to HELP WRITHE thrown in there).

EDIT: Punctured Aura also needs to be added. Void needs to be removed, as does haemophilia and hypersomnia.

All listed help files updated.

Could you list the relevant herb/potion cures for those afflictions to make my life a little easier?

Reishi cures aura. Void and haemophilia do not exist. I believe hypersomnia does, though.

HELP GREAT LIBRARIAN and HELP CULTURE fail to explain the purpose of LIBRARY SUBMIT; presumably it relates to prestige contests.

Omniphobia is cured by kombu.
Deadening is cured by kombu.
Daydreamind is cured by kafe.
Narcolepsy is cured by... Oh that's not in my script...
Throatlock is focus body.
Leglock is also focus body, but as long as the mage maintains focus it will refresh the legparalysis.

We need a HELP SUMMONING, really, that lists the game's offical summoning policy and the fact that the policy is Prime only.

Is omniphobia what AmpliphyPhobia gives, or a different affliction? I'm assuming the former, as it's also cured by kombu.

I'm 99% sure that Amplify Phobia gives Omniphobia which has the diag line "Afraid of the world."

Perhaps in Help Families list what may stop considering? What you cannot do while engaged, married or in the bloodbonding period?
