HELP PERMISSIONS includes "NOT ENEMIES" as one of the example permissions, but that doesn't actually work. It'd have to be "NOT ENEMY". (And actually, you'd usually want to use "EXCEPT ENEMY" anyway, but that's another matter.) The ENEMY syntax is correctly listed further down in the file.

-- I'm editing Lendren's post because I don't particularly want this post bumped up the list on 'View New Posts'. I'm going to work through this list and sort out the typos. However, I would (personally) much prefer if you just TYPOed this sort of problem in game, and I'll end up fixing it much faster that way. - Fain

Are we not using this thread anymore? It isn't pinned! Yes, no, maybe?

Somewhat necro'd, but that's alright.
I sort of wish the help file for the champ artifacts would be updated.

I bugged that helpfile because it was taking me too long to find this thread, hence my question!

Judging from Fain's stealth edit of my post above (didn't even see it), I think this thread is dead and should probably be deleted, if the reason it was created (to get people to post help updates here) is completely repudiated (by Fain saying we should be TYPOing them instead of posting them here).

Actually, I think I've probably changed my mind about the usefulness of this thread.

Typos or omissions to help files should still be TYPOed - that way there is no chance we'll miss them and they'll get fixed faster.

However, this thread would still be useful for requests for new helpfiles or better documentation for things which are currently difficult to understand.

Over the last few months, there have been a whole slew of IDEAed requests for 'better documentation' from a couple of newer players (who says we never read ideas!). However, much to my irritation, none of these requests have ever actually given details of where documentation could be better, or what exactly is unclear.

When you know Lusternia well, it's really difficult to plot where things don't make sense to the uninitiated. So if you find a newbie confused about how something works, let us know here and explain why, and we'll do our best to improve things.
