Help 12 should probably list something about manses being in the aetherways.
Xenthos2006-09-29 02:51:01
HELP ARTIFACTS doesn't actually list help artifacts, but 19.10 and 19.10.3. Help 19.10 doesn't list artifacts_runes.

Also: AB MAGIC, AB RESILIENCE used to refer to HELP MAGIC and HELP RESILIENCE because there were no skills in the skillset. They don't any more, which leads to noviceconfusion.

HELP SHOUTS is a bit incorrect in: " and it is important to remember that generally speaking, only the Gods and some powerful players will know who is shouting..." (paragraph 1, line 2) since Recognition is fairly low in Discernment. Unless, I am mistaken and Recognition does something else smile.gif

You are correct, the file is a holdover from Achaea where Recognition is a trans skill.

15.6.1 MADNESS
...

That may be a client problem. I had it with Atlantis, but the excellent developer brought out a debugged version straight away and it worked fine.

If it's a client problem, then it's a client problem with Nexus. Which, given that it's the official game client...wacko.gif

May we post AB files that need modification as well?

HELP WEAVES

Weaves are a common term within the Basin of Life. The end of the Weave refers to a time when the Fates pore over the Tapestry and sort through the past events. The period of time from one weave to the next can be found from using the TIME command. The Fates check the Tapestry at 00:00 GMT, and a weave is often classified as the time from one checking to the next. When a weave ends, all logs of events such as guild, city and order logs are given a new page, and the previous scribings are moved back.

---

I get far too many people asking what a Weave is, so.. pleasesign.gif
Gwylifar2006-10-01 13:27:47
Ooooh, "weave" is still used for that? Sweet.
Daganev2006-10-01 14:22:45
"weave" is used to mean anything thats basically OOC... and a necessary evil of muds.
Soll2006-10-01 14:41:53
However, it's different than months. In Lusternia, it has an IC function and generally has to be used. Because I am not going to say: You can draw 30 power every 24 days. I'll get smartarses going back: Why not 25? And that's awkward. And Weave is already incorporated into Lusternia.

TOPGUILDS tells you for more info to read HELP TOPGUILDS, which doesn't exist.

That and circles (levels) ought to be added to 'help dictionary'.
Soll2006-10-01 21:25:06
And on that note, remove the 'level' entry.

-> Or perhaps just make it the 'Circles' entry.

No call it levels, that way newbies will know what they are looking at, but somehwere put in there that ICly, Levels are called Circles.

Edit: Or HELP CIRCLES and HELP LEVELS take you to the same place as well.

100th Post FTW!!

HELP NEWS doesn't mention anything about the purpose or existence even of the Plots board.
