This argument was made repeatedly but I would allow the facts to speak for themselves: Glomdoring has the lowest player population in the game and many ran from it- why? because they were unhappy there, which means that like it or not, something was messed up along the way. It's quite natural for people to -want- a change because as it was, people kept leaving.
Personaly I love Glomdoring's theme, but I think I would have taken it to a slightly different direction... acting as the darker side of nature, the vengeful, and considering themselves the next stage of evolution... that's how I hoped to play Narses.
At any rate, people have a right to their own opinions... but when they have nothing to do with an event, they should shut their muzzles up in the game. Feel like talking? that's why we have the forums.
Also, I find a shout-discussion quite silly as I don't see anyone -debating- in length in such a manner-logicly speaking.
-as for the divine's wishes, grand. Many players tried, including myself... but we got tired of it. Endless interactions with the earthlords or other npc's? how long and how frequently do you wish to interact with mute npc's who react in a scripted manner if at all?
people do try, it just falls on deaf ears.
-one last thing, if I may. Glomdoring could not have been perceived as anything else. A commune that lives in order to expand their forest by overriding anything else?. Crow and Night were twisted just like the Demon Lords were- how is that any different. I think that the opposition was obvious from the very begining. Lusternia revolves around conflict, I don't think that they were trying to change that but empower it when they made Glomdoring.

Glomdoring is improving. Recently a handful of restrictions have been loosened, and more improvements to policy and such are slated, yet the best aspects of its RP are still intact.

Sorry, but I've seen Estarra rant a lot about people taking things to the forums and not in the game. I really disagree with you here, and I think endless debate on the forums has actually hurt the game somewhat. Is the event meant to be secret? Well then, there shouldn't be world emotes.
To be honest I've actually been trying to RP and ask questions...Moralis and I had a short chat--and I was trying to ask some questions in the Glomdoring but they now have an anti-rogue policy.

Well, to be honest, they do get rewarded. I always try to be in character, clean stuff, even if nobody's watching, and I do talk to denziens even if they don't pay attention. Sometimes you get rewarded, like the time one of the i'Xiia Viscanti threatened to perform surgery on me for hanging a painting in the Presido, or the time I just gave a bottle of whiskey to a frost hag and she first thought I was gonna poison her, then got drunk.
Eunni kills the enjoyment more than anything else.

Phred, a discussion between serenwilders and celestians about the war between the two should be discussed over IC. However, Narses should not begin to blab his mouth off if he think Morgfyre is doing something wrong or whatever- one subject is rellevent to the game and should stay there, the other is not and if you are itching to give your opinion, do so over the forum.
Also, great that you are dedicated to these attempts.. but I speak of things which are of larger scale then the occassional talk- something that can actualy change a guild's perception for instance- these things are always planned out and are rarely sponteneous... which leaves players in a state in which they are unlikely to make any sort of change unless they participate in a global event.
-And I am -really- happy to hear that things are looking up for Glomdoring. I can honestly say I miss it there. But I do believe I botched my welcome there. I hope it goes well, the concept is really too cool for it to fail.

Let them get all the Bards released first, that's probably a lot of work for them to complete.
Diamondais2006-10-22 23:37:54
Should really stop voting, its happened and happening.
Daganev2006-11-10 16:13:21
Are the bards "settled" yet?
Oh wait, all the cool stuff happens on weekends when I can't play.. nevermind.

Yeah, Bards have been settled.
I'm sure something will happen soon--Glomdoring can't be godless forever.
By the way...
...I think I know just how Estarra should model a rejuvenated personality for Viravain!

I think Xavius and Xenthos are her henchmen!
(It kinda helps to imagine ElectraWoman and DynaGirl as other goddesses, perhaps Terentia, Lisaera, or Isune).

Why are people still voting?
Sybl2006-11-11 02:34:40
Because we can? Does it really matter?
Diamondais2006-11-11 02:37:16
The changes were already made or are in the process of being made and finished. The vote isnt going to influence anything anymore.

Voting "bumps" the thread as if somebody posted... without actually making a new post. The only reason this thread's still around is because people keep voting.
Anarias2006-11-11 03:20:45
Can we just have the thread closed?

I believe you can still vote in a closed thread... which means that won't help.

Not really, you still can't autocreate a cantor or spiritsinger yet. They haven't fully balanced the bards yet either. Or fleshed out their new illusionary mastery-transcendant skills, if that's still going to happen. Some other things as well I'm to tired to remember.
Autocreate? Does that mean from the character creation scene? 'Cuz I made a Cantor alt a couple of days ago...
Unknown2006-11-11 16:34:13
Can we please just lock this poll already? :/

Anyway, Cantors and Spiritsingers weren't an option, I was depressed.
Unknown2006-11-11 22:12:52
Why are you guys so sensitive about having the Poll locked. Just because it's been "taken care of" doesn't mean people can't still make comments and vote. If you don't want to read the thread, don't.
