On the Lucidians and Their Lies
As written by Nephren Tehuti, on the 12th of Dvarsh, 157 CE
Citizens of the Basin, I have discovered a hitherto unknown threat to
the sanctity of the land; the machinations of the sons of Xyl, the
Lucidians! The threat they pose is so great that I feel compelled to put
pen to paper and tell you all the truth.
Lucidians claim that the great Vernal God Tzaraziko the Enigmatic was a
Lucidian. THIS IS NOT TRUE! Tzaraziko was really a Dracnari! Every tale
of blessed Tzaraziko I have ever heard confirms this -- unless a
Lucidian is telling the tale! They are purposely trying to undermine the
Dracnari by distorting the truth! By discrediting the Children of
Dracnoris, they plan to marginalize the great race of the Dracnari! They
have already succeeded in removing Gaudiguch from the Basin, trapping
the great city beyond space and time. They are secretly planning to
exterminate the Dracnari, because we know about their plans! The
deception about the Lady of Alin'dor is but the most obvious of their
lies; they plan to gain dominion over the Basin of Life, over the First
World, of the very stars and cosmos themselves! How many Lucidians do
you know? They are all working for the Learned Elders of Hallifax, even
if they don't even know it! Do not trust them! They will betray you!
Do not think that this is only between the Lucidians and the Dracnari!
Once the Dracnari are out of the way, they will enslave all the races of
the Basin and force you to serve them! They already control the Trill!
Don't let them control the Basin! Do not be deceived by their lies. They
will try to tell you about how they suffered when Hallifax was lost;
THIS IS NOT TRUE! The Lucidians knew ahead of time what would happen to
Hallifax; verily, they planned it from the start! They evacuated all the
Lucidians from the city beforehand. Now there are thousands more
Lucidians than they admit, hiding in underground caves, waiting for the
right time to reveal themselves and take over the Basin! You must resist
them!
The threat posed to the universe by the vile Lucidians is great indeed;
however, it is not too late to stop them. They have spent many hundreds
of years establishing their conspiracy, but we can still stop them. Pray
that Dracnoris watch over us in our endeavors.
I'm going to have Nephren make this into a real book, it's brilliant. And I'm considering publishing a Lusternian tabloid. Tekora and I thought up some headlines:
"Mogfyre seen eating bigfoot!"
"Tzaraziko is alive and well and living in Crunkvindia."
"Here we have pictures of her and the Muffin Man in Flagrante Delicto"
"Guido's not dead! He just went back home."
"Squibbles sighted in Glomdoring: Dozens dead, hundreds wounded"
"Virasoll: This summer's hot couple?"

If I had 500,000 gold to blow... I would totally make a clan for this, so people can 'subscribe/join', and have underlings write articles once a week and post it on the newsboard, and distribute the gold collected from fees accordingly.
