I've got just shy of 400 lessons to spend and I'm at Windtalk and Autumn in Environment and Lowmagic respectively. I don't know which to go for, trueground/tumble or violet which gets me closer to Serpent. Suggestions welcome and apologies for being lame and asking this here.

Violet is worthless, since we Communists have no way to keep dreamweavers from just leaving the room, and Magic type damage is crud. Winter is cool for druids though.... But still, I think Tumbling is awesome. It's 304 lessons from Windtalk. Spending the extra 59 lessons for Trueground is.... meh. Cheap, but questionably useful.

Violet is 312 lessons from Autumn, and still puts you 803 lesson from Serpent (but only 380 more to Winter!). I don't know why I love Winter so much. Too bad it'll be forever until I learn it - I have so many interesting tactic ideas involving it sad.gif

So, I'd really say get Tumble, and either get Trueground, or sit on the other 100 lessons for later.

Tumble >>> Violet >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Trueground.

Trueground is rather pointless. Don't waste lessons getting it. Spend lessons trying to get something after that, though there isn't much useful in environment past tumble.

I did opt for tumble after all. Thanks for the advice.

What does winter do?
Anarias2006-09-30 16:47:02
Winter's pretty sweet. It causes a blizzard in the room that you cast it which makes seeing things difficult.

The room, and adjacent rooms.

I'd argue that climb is worth getting, but then again, Anarias is hartstone so he has monkey totem and has no need for the common ability.

Tumble. Tumble is far more important than Violet.

How high up is Tumble?

The room, and adjacent rooms.
I was told it was the whole local area actually, but it only lasted for like 1-5 minutes based on temperature.

Tumble is somewhere around 50% or 66% Expert Environment now I think. I don't have it myself and my skill lists have been so messed up by all the new skills they stick in they aren't very acurate anymore.
