Except Daganev.

(No one is surprised.)

Whats that in response to?

I find shades of grey much more entertaining than black and white.

The real truth of things is that Glomdoring actually treats its novices with far more attention and care than anyone would really ever believe.

See HELP TOPGUILDS for an explanation of what this means.

I’m left to wonder why Glomdoring continually scores the lowest on topguilds, but the “real truth is that Glomdoring actually treats its novices with far more attention and care than anyone would really ever believe.” I’m not suggesting this isn’t the case, but rather, what other factors contribute to relative inactivity of Glomdoring in Lusternia versus Celest, Magnagora, and Serenwilde? Attention and care tend to foster positive novice environments, which tends to increase player activity and retention. Why does this not hold true in the case of Glomdoring?

completely unrelated.

The statement "real truth is that Glomdoring actually treats its novices with far more attention and care than anyone would really ever believe" just implies that if glom treats novices with a score of 60, people think they treat novices with a score of 10. (assuming 100 resulted in best results)

On the other hand if you look at topguilds, And look at the actual novice score, you will see that having lots of active novices does not equate with a top ranking. Shadowdancers have a score of 14 while paladins only have a score of 8. Cocophy with the highest ranking at 21 , is listed as 8th.

Part of this might be that non-novices are given the same attention as novices, and since many people idle during novicehood, they don't actually learn how to become part of Glomdoring like they should.

Ok, so that post about a tainted city following the light.... Thats happening right now... Magnagora follows angels! weeee... soo cool. Makes me happy.

Removing the taint is actually a pretty darn good idea tongue.gif

Put hte focus on the power of the soulless, instead of on Kethuru... I likey!. tongue.gif

Two reasons.

1) Less to do in Glomdoring. Not necessarily true, but that is a perception.

2) Fewer older players around to watch over the novvies. We try, but we still have a small population.

What does this even mean?

1) Less? You have the best place for novices. Yours dont -have- to leave the Commune until after level 50 at -least.-

2) I agree with that one.

I'm fully aware of what the sentence implies; I'm more curious as to why. Why would “people” think Glomdoring is doing worse than it truly is?
Daganev2006-12-24 03:20:52
Because "Merciless" usually means "not nice to new people"

I always get comments from new people telling me that they expected me to be much more mean than I am.
