Huh? Oh, I wasn't naming that instrument above my post. I was saying that fiddles would be cool to have.
That thing doesn't even look like a fiddle!
And fiddles and violins aren't the same thing.

Yeah they are... violin=italian/fiddle=english
Some poeple modify a violin's bridge to make 'fiddling' a little easier... but they are both the same insturment
Noola2006-10-30 05:58:52
Ah well. I'd always been told they were different.
Learn something new everyday!
(but your chinese thing doesn't look like either! Sounds pretty though)

Got my hands on one today... CSUSB music department has one... hard as hell to play. Right now I have it on loan... going to try and learn to play it.

Wait.. that means I transed bookbinding for nothing..? Omg.. I so feel like I wasted a lot of credits now..
Tzekelkan2006-10-31 10:00:14
Do different instruments have different stats, like weapons? I assume not, otherwise it would have been discussed to death, right?
Unknown2006-10-31 13:02:13
Aiee, if instruments become two-handed (which I agree makes sense), then yes, could magic tomes perhaps work in inventories then?
And instruments are a matter of personal preference so don't worry about stats.

Pweeeeeeeze?
You couldn't sing and play that thing at the same time.
I think that's why Estarra said string-instruments only, right?
Unknown2006-11-01 00:27:05
Just a thought, but maybe by just wording the ability descriptions differently, wind instruments could work? E.g.
"Do re mi fa so," you sing, somberly playing a
finely-crafted violin.
"Do re mi fa so," you sing, before taking a deep breath and playing a soothing note on lacquered ravenwood panpipes.
Something along the lines of that... <3 panpipes.
