Oh sorry, I corrected it for you, you can click on 'history' to see who has been editing the pages with you.

the differance is this:

input1:
hi
I
want
this
to
be
a
list

result1:
HiIwantthistobealist

input2:
(hit the spacebar once here)Hi
(hit the spacebar once here)I
(hit the spacebar once here)want
(hit the spacebar once here)this
(hit the spacebar once here)to
(hit the spacebar once here)be
(hit the spacebar once here)a
(hit the spacebar once here)list

result2:
Hi
I
want
this
to
be
a
list

Does that make sense?

Maybe we could put up a list of hunting areas.

Kind of like:

Levels 1-20
Newton Caverns
blah blah blah.

etc etc.

Perfect!

Hm, what does a space translate into in HTML code? The spaces between things disappear in lines like

Salt Cast a protection circle with fortified salt
Unknown2006-10-03 04:33:22
for the skills just put
at the beginning and everything more or less straightens out.
Vix2006-10-03 04:34:42
Aha! Thanks!

Here's the most important piece of wiki advice you'll ever get.

If you see something you like in someone else's page, go to it, click "edit" in the upper right don't actually edit anything , but steal all the coding they did, then just place in your words with their coding.

It makes you look like you know what you are doing, and gives a nice result too. wink.gif

Maybe we could also have the villages with who currently controls them and a summary of them along with important denizens? A hint for their quests too perhaps?

Night and Astrology are up.

Put a leading space before each line of a skill list.

I'm going through and adding in detailed information for each skillset, including what % of what skill rank each skill is learned at, and what the skills really do.
Unknown2006-10-03 04:47:31
I think that either the font needs to be smaller or we need a different layout (tis pretty) because quite a bit of the text is running off of the text space.
Tsuki2006-10-03 04:47:51
Who currently controls villages could easily become either tedious to maintain or be left alone and turn out of date.

Hints for quests could easily "slip" and be giving too much away, eventually, so I'd hesitate on posting that. Quite a number of quests can be started/figured out as long as people know to GREET denizens, several times sometimes, and to LOOK around and try poking at things they see in the description that might be important.

One other thing I could think of to include might be lists of tradeskill patterns for different cartels (public and org ones, not private?) ... certainly not all the information, just the short descriptions and numbers/cartel to help people know what they're looking for or would like to know more details of when they track down a tradesperson of that skill.
Unknown2006-10-03 04:52:07
A cartel page, then?

Maybe like:

Tailoring Cartels

Name of Cartel - Owner
Designs
etc.

Rather than replacing the skilllist as it appears, why not add that information further down on the page in a more detailed description section bit? Otherwise, you lose some things that are fun to see about the skillsets. laugh.gif

Something like that ... give me a minute or two to finish typing!

.... oops, too late tongue.gif I always found the default AB info completely useless. If someone wants to put that info back, I guess they can go into the history to get it.... Meh.
Tsuki2006-10-03 05:27:33
unsure.gif My cataloging and classification sense is tingling at the hierarchical organization for the cartels. Bear with me if my librarianishness urges get ugly?

Edit: Artisan and Jewelry cartel pages are set up for someone to add the actual information ... I don't know the options for the other trades to set them up sad.gif Or y'could just post everything in one fell swoop on the page rather than further divisions, but someone started it so I continued. tongue.gif

Hey all you cool cats, so far I have put in, Sacraments, Necromancy, Forging, Knighthood, Blademaster (might need eiditng) Bonecrusher (might need editing), Tarot (might need a little editing). Sorry I couldn't add more guys, I did my best.
Tsuki2006-10-03 05:49:02
Much wub.gif to Ildar for setting me loose on the tailoring options. Just need a sacrificial forger, cook, and bookbinder for their options yet, and I'll be happy. pureevil.gif
