Check with Lyco, he may know a way.... I miss Jacquin.
I tried and he said he didn't. Not even an e-mail. But I swear I put it somewhere on my computer, I know I did. Mind you, lots and lots of rubbish on it too.
And british porn isn't any different from any sort of porn. And most of it is imported I bet.

Arix needs to die a slow and painful death.
On a lighter note I'm in Newcastle at the moment.

What is this England of which you speak?
It's the place America owes 230 years, 3 months and 17 days of back-taxes to.
Or it is the 51st State (good movie that) the place where Bush gets his hand puppets. His current one is named Tony You can tell where the hand is, because the trademark Blair smile has turned into more of a grimace recently

I’ve never understood how governments can be in debt and still functional and flourishing. Then again, other countries are in debt to us, so I guess the debt just floats around out there and everyone ignores it.

Our national debt is in the trillions, so I somehow doubt England will ever see those taxes.

And governments complain they dont have enough money to do what they want.
Caffrey2006-10-23 22:02:23
Heh, $8 Trillion, not bad, we only have $850 billion national debt over here.
I haven't read much about economics, but as long as there is a stable government then the banks know they will get their money back eventually, by the government taxing us serfs more, or cutting spending. (on health care for us serfs, for instance) In the worst case an "unstable" government can either wipe the debt, like Spain and Russia have in the past, or just print more money! Simple! Even though that causes runaway inflation and the economy to collapse Why do you think a lot of rulers and other rich people store their money in Switzerland and never invade it. It certainly not out of fear for the mighty Swiss Penknives! They keep one stable country around so that THEIR money never gets devalued! (Note to any Swiss people, yes I know you have a lovely system of keeping grenades and guns in your basements for national defence, I was joking about the Swiss Army Knives )

Encourage, encourage!
I dislike Dickens' writing style. Shakespeare was great though.
Anybody else find it amusing that the tea available in the gift shops at the British Royal Palaces is from an American tea blender?

It's a jibe at how rubbish English literature is. Obviously they haven't read any Charles Dickens or Shakespeare.
I know, those English people really should try reading good literature like Charles Dickens or Shakespeare. But they're soooo caught up in their own little swamp of English literature...
Actually, I think it was more a jab at how you folks spell things funny.

I find Dickens much more enjoyable when I read it aloud to myself, and I go through Dickens moods.... sometimes I just find him slow and dull, othertimes I can't put his books down.
And we do not spell funny.
You Americans with your spelling = pronuciation, spelling competition fetishes. The worst thing Webster ever did was try to standardise the language. In proper English, we can get the satisfaction of not only identifying how words were pronunced, but seeing their source in a way which you simply can't in sanitised US English.

Yeah, about this thread... I would really like to hear from Jacquin again too. Surprises me that she is a brit! We can only hope she drops in on a whim so we can all bombard her with tells about how much we miss her. :-)

I don't think she is, although she's certainly cool enough to be one
