Why are forgers able to get all the metal comms back, without even needing an artifact, and then tailors get just a portion when they buy an artifact? That's like some cruel joke.
Really, this argument is absurd.
Forgers often have to reforge what they make based on how the armour/weapon stats turn out.
Tailors don't have to keep re-sewing clothes to make nice clothes. Cooks don't have to re-cook their food to make tasty food. Artisans don't keep re-constructing their furniture to make comfortable furniture.
And we don't want comms to be endlessly recycled.
Enough with wanting every tradeskill to mimic recycling commodities like forgers. It's comparing apples to oranges and isn't going to happen.

Just wondering if any more thought's been put into this in the middle of everything by the admins?
I'm still holding a 300 credit paperweight, and would be nice to know if that's going to change.
I'll try to get to it this weekend. No, a final decision hasn't been made.

They do to get good greatrobes.
Alternatively, make greatrobes disenchantable...

True, but most people seemed to think tailors should have the right to recycle ALL clothes which is simply absurd. An argument to help greatrobes ONLY would be another matter.

Exactly what we need.

What does it do at the moment, return half of the commodities used in a piece of clothing, so it's only useful when something turns tawdry? (Having a tawdry greatrobe at the moment I could appreciate that.)
I think it would be silly if tailors could recoup all commodities from, even anything, you're going to always have pieces you just can't use again, even if you're just remaking a similar pattern, if you start ripping seams out and so forth.

This doesn't affect me one way or another, but thank you.

Maybe if you could get the gems, silver and gold back from the clothes. Because, while cloth isn't reused, good quality buttons (made from silver or gold) and beads and sequins and such (made from gems, silver and gold) are recycled by real tailors into other things.
