So I was trying to log into Lusternia, and it didn't work. I was trying, and trying, and I noticed that there was a Symantec window on the start bar. (Symantec just came with the computer.) And...it was asking me if Internet Explorer had permission to access the internet...

I use a 3rd party client, so I have never experienced the java client. Plus I use a obscure operation system, so there is no need for firewalls, just a good anti-virus/adbot.

I would argue that relying on security by obscurity is not a good idea, but it's your PC.
