4.17 ROLEPLAYING POINTS

As you go about your business in Lusternia, you may get messages that your
character's strength of personality has decreased. This results from actions
that are considered poor roleplaying.

Using HONOURS on a player will show you what the strength of their personality
is considered to be. This information is found directly under their ranking,
and may say something like, "He is of acceptable character" or, "He is a
refreshingly credible character."

Having a poor rolepoint ranking will increase the amount of experience you
lose from various things, and decrease the amount you get from various things.
Having a good rolepoint ranking will do the opposite. Also, low rolepoints
will have the following ramifications:

Credible and below: No shouts or market channel privileges.
Dubious and below: No city or commune channel privileges.
Questionable and below: No guild channel privileges.

Gaining rolepoints is generally a matter of simply being consistently in-role.


Some things that might lose you rolepoints

Out-of-character shouts or news posts.
Abusing channels.
Breaking channel rules.
Taking on silly titles.
Acting without regard for the history of your character.
Using real world references of any kind.
If it doesn't exist in Lusternia, it's OOC.

Mentioning real world musical groups, countries, political parties,
the internet, etc. in shouts or posts or on guild or city channels.

Well, when lag is so disruptive and annoying, a little levity about it isn't so bad, is it?

Ninja'd, and yes it is when it's at the expense of immersion.

Looked like, from what I read so far from people complaining, the lag was bad enough to do that by itself. But I never expect announces to be IC so I guess it doesn't strike me as all that awful. That's just me though.

Not true, I've spent the 292 odd credits before learning and then got a "Sorry, yer screwed!" out of them when I went back to Mythical.

I saw one like that in another IRE game. It was in a Divine "trophy room" in a temple. I think that's hilarious. It's so nice to see Yrael giving of himself so freely!

Many moons ago I submitted an aslaran carpet, though that's sort of neater.

And then, when she took too long giving her scythe to Escalia to kill me (I kid you not, last time someone tried killing me with that, 1900 damage, from a MAGE), I decided to run to Fain's fulcrux and hope that'd protect me. It didn't.
