I'm not really complaining about the loss of power, though the overall event is as annoying for us as it is for you.
Look at it from our end: We could just kill them, and let Serenwilde deal with the angels sitting around for a while as Celest works through bugged mob programs. Instead, we sit there watching failed influences and bugs as we're being attacked.
It's not fun on the other end, so... snapping at someone saying Celest is responsible for asking us not to kill the angels (especially when, at the time, not killing them didn't serve any purpose) is kind of silly, as it's very true.
