Yeah, using a game mechanic meant mainly to prevent harassment just because you're pissed that someone proved you wrong, when you initiated the conversation AND insulted them, I dunno. I didn't really feel she had any good sportsmanship towards me, so why should I show any towards her? You get what you give.

I wouldn't have known what a combateer was, but I know I wouldn't have tried to correct someone that I thought used the word wrong. She seemed to be trying to show Sybl up and Sybl showed her. I got a little laugh out of the log.

In which case.. did you post what you posted because it was funny? Or because you wanted to have the final word in an argument where someone had snubbed you before you'd finished (which I admit is v. annoying). In any case, what you do in game is fine. That's IC. That's being your character. Aiakon would have done much worse. It was posting it here with a triumphant Ha! that I was tsk-ing over. Besides which, IC there is no conception of good sportsmanship - that would be tantamount to admitting your character is part of a game. What I mean by good sportsmanship is maintaining a pleasant OOC interaction between players*, distinctly separate from your characters.
