For now let Celest gloat over their victory, with their constant raiding right now since we are at the weakess and with 3/4 of the city's defenders either non combatants or novices, how can we fight 3/4 of Celest's best fighters?
I am not pissed about their victory, I mean 'hats off" to them, I think they did a great job achieving that. Its the biasness and how it effects everything including playerbase... With the necromante killing new players, we will never get enough to even begin to think about wind and fire skills. That and it sure is a hell of a way to usher in the anniversary.
I think either make the Star summon insane gibbering fallen angels to rape and pillage novices, or make them both equal. Stop being so one sided.

Let's see...of those I remember...
Kayde and Marcalo gradually left, so did Stangmar, and I think Ixchigial(sp?) Murphy's in semi-retirement I think. Aiakon vanished. Veonira has school. Balizar's in a retirement mode. Kahazul jumped ship then joined Guido Flagg in suicide.
Daevos and Zalana--not sure--Zalana was working hard on Ilyrias before it got shut down, although I've seen her on rare occasions--course it could just be life duties. Daevos seems to still be active--he's so damned quiet though--though he rarely posts here anymore and I suspect got a bit bored.
Athana and Ixion moved to Serenwilde.
I don't think Kaervas is really around much either.
So, like I said in another thread, just a few people can have a big effect on an organization.
Jumped ship to Glomdoring.

Kayde and Marcalo moved, they dont have internet connections yet. She logs in under nexus when she can

Daevos has RL stuff so he isnt around as much, same with Zalana

Veo is in school
Rakor is MIA mostly
Alger and Jadygra are on another mud
Ildar is missing (well we know he is around causing grief somewhere)
Torak left
Kharvik isnt on much anymore (if at all)
Lycos moved (I miss the pimp... I had one more lesson until I reached Jedi Pimp and he moved on me)
Mederrach left
So yeah most of the people who can hold thier own are gone or busy. It does change the situation alot.
Unknown2006-10-06 04:01:02
hopefully some new blood will infuse into mag and create some really good fighters. It'd be fun to have an almost perfectly even match on almost every fight
Unknown2006-10-06 04:05:34
Where did Alger and Jadryga go?
Reiha2006-10-06 04:07:18
A more specific list~
Those who left mag:
Kaervas
Ixion
Athana
Dysolis
Those who are inactive:
Veonira
Kharvik
Ildar
Lyco
Alger
Jadryga
Kayde
Marcalo
Orcae
Ixchigal
Rakor
Torak
Arsanil(?)
Faerdon
Those who quit:
Medderach
Telrath
Less known names, but people who were usually around more and were good supporting fighters:
Syrios
Saddim
Ithyliana
And more I'm sure from the Nihilists and Ur'guard.
Gerald might become more active, though not enough to be fighting - but glad nonetheless to have him around more
But it's kind of a big list. Hopefully I can be apart of that 'good fighter' list someday

They really haven't been totally active for ages.

No, I mean, Ildaudid said they went to another mud.. I was curious as to which mud
Veonira2006-10-06 04:18:35
Oh right. I actually knew that too. Can't remember which one it was though. Armageddon maybe?
Gavriel2006-10-06 04:34:38
Ithyliana, like so many of our players, has school to deal with. She pops in when she can, some weekends and the odd weekday.
I was never much of a fighter, but the constant raids are getting so frustrating that I'm about to jump ship. Gavriel's been on a break for.. ugh, I dunno, it feels like forever. Maybe the anniversary events will distract Celest long enough for Magnagora to do some clean-up work.. "Hey guys, boo fun! Let's go spiking and show that Necromentate who's boss! YAAAAY!"
It's the kind of tooth-gritting madness that makes me want to slam my IC head into a car door. Time to make the switch from Nexus to Mush and get a system, I guess.
But seriously, congrats Celest. Since the supernal/lord buffs, I never thought anyone would be able to pull this off on such a grand scale.. we got pwned. But that's ok, once we get some new blood, we'll be on the upswing (until you steal them with your cool lightie skills).

Does that mean that after this victory Celest will be holding off on their mega grief fest to let Magnagora recover from this big blow in order to give them a chance to build up to an even level and actually make combat more than a zerg-fest? Or will it just continue to bog down the dwindling Magnagora population anyway just for the hell of it? I guess we'll see.

The necromentate will no longer kill newbies.
Asarnil2006-10-06 05:16:38
Reiha, I'm not inactive. I log on when I can which at the moment is kinda being strained by the stress the game causes me and the sharp increase of my workload (I bloody hate school holidays).
Even when I am not logged on though, I am still trying to get my head around how to reubild the Ur'Guard (pretty much from the ground up again) so it doesn't suffer from the same thing that Glomdoring is getting its makeover for. And it doesn't help that the GA is inactive but because of the sheer amount of people in her family that vote for her she won't get replaced (Zalana contested her earlier, lost by 1-2 votes though hopefully she (or possibly someone else like Vika I guess) will contest soon and win so we can actually start trying to fix up the damned guild.
At the same time I am trying to build a new system from scratch because my "bashing" system is too old to fight with and there are some things in Murphy's that I have some problems with using (like its inability to be edited unless opened up from another session and done there).

Nah, no crazy mobs to worry about... unless Gorgogs are let loose.

You spank our ass and make us raise the necromante back, and all our nov's are killed and cant even leave their guild hall??
Morgfyre fixed it.

But seriously, this game is very in favour of celest skillsets, celest quests, and celest in general. People may be scared to say it but anyone who reads envoys, and alot of the quest issues that have been done would agree.
Each city has their own special ways to be screwed over exclusively. For example, if the Carai Caroo quest is done and mutant kelpies are let loose, Celest and only Celest suffers from the fact that Dragon Turtles can't be bred. You don't see a quest that prevents the conversion of Seawolves. And don't say that Seashell Necklaces = Mutant Kelpies. Necklaces last one month. Kelpies stick around until you manage to kill ALL 50.

I notice this all the time and it needs to be said. This game, tho I love it so, is very one sided.
Yes, it is. It's not one-sided to Celest, though... it's one-sided to communes. What with their no-cubix exit ethereal planes, inactive nexus conflict quest, and monopoly on alchemy.
NERF COMMUNES.

I think some people have to remember back when they were on the top and pounding others into the ground. Back then the people were joking Celest talking about the Merian noise, or how much Celest whines. They were also patting each other on the back here on the forums, while hindering Celest’s ability to resurrect the Supernals or Killing them a few times more to make the Star Drop. So please stop trying to make it seem like any of this that is happening is New and only been Started by Celest. Your own buddies from Magnagora and Serenwilde have done it themselves.
Second, what is this crutch that Celest has in far superior skills? I’ve fought people on all sides of the Isle, and really there is nothing Celest has that I fear combat wise. I’ve had Sacraments, and truthfully saw that it would be pretty useless for my style of combat. The design of Nil is a valid point, but that was made before there were anyone in either of the Cities. So you can’t blame that plane being harder to defend than Celestia on any sort of perceived crutch the admin gave to the so-called good side. Also, when I look at your skills I see the design of them were strongly based around some role-play ideas. It had nothing to do with favoritism, but more to do with those who created them may not have as much experience in how the ebb and flow of IRE combat goes. Now the fix for that is the Envoys, and so you should be working with yours to try to get some of your poor skills balanced (not overpowered though).
Last, I do think people in Celest should layoff now and allow you guys to rebuild. The only way to win the war is to totally run people out of their city. I seriously doubt people want that Pyrrhic Victory, because it leads to having no one around to play against. So, I suggest that some of the leaders from both sides come together to hash out some temporary cease fire agreement. I think all involved would rather maintain control over the amount of conflict going on in Lusternia, then have the Admin feel the need to create another means of quelling it.
