I've got Raezon's description and it looks like the description of Lacostian is not his original one. I've got an earlier version of his. I'm not hip to the wiki stuff though so someone else will have to post it.
Thanks Anarias!

What? That due to your lack of reading skills, you only refute things no one ever claimed, using facts that aren't even vaguely accurate? Yes, but only in the same sense that it's terrifying to watch film clips of Gerald Ford falling down stairs. Terrifying, and amusing. Do it again!
Incidentally, the "savage nobility" bit came from Auseklis. It was part of the original design for the race done before the game even opened, and it is canon. And as Exarius points out, he's the one who was against it.
Elryn, I thought this was going to be done quietly! Sheesh.
You can shout 'canon' all you want. It just makes you sound like the people on the first MUD I ever played who (last I checked) had spent seven years screaming 'canon!' at the top of their lungs, trying to dictate RP to one another, each with a different rabid interpretation of what had been written about the local feline race of noble savages, making the lives of each other and even the admins miserable.
MUDs should use pre-played history for background flavor, not as RP weapons to blow each others virtual heads off with. How appropriate to call it 'canon'.
Exarius is not a noble savage. The Shanthine are not noble savages. All other aslaran can look after themselves. I don't care what anyone else but Estarra has to say on the subject, and if she tells me to choose between 'noble savage' and getting out, I'm waving bye-bye. So go get her, guys. There's your opening to be rid of me once and for all.

CAAAAAAAAAAAAATFIGHT!

Nah, for it to be a fight, he'd actually have to address something I said. Hey Exarius, go buy some context, you're overstocked on straw men. When your best argument is "hey, you said 'canon' so I'm going to stick my fingers in my ears and hum really loud until it goes away", how much more needs to be said? Why not go ahead and insist that there was no Ladantine and the taurians are two feet tall, while you're at it?

Umm I'm too lazy to register for an account or anything, but if someone wants to add my Tailoring Database to the Tailoring section that'd be cool.
Done.

Post your sources in your articles. It's nice for skeptics like me! As for RP vs Canon, accept the Canon as truth and then ignore it anyways... Use it for generalizations but still play your char how you want to be!

I am working on a shared Google spreadsheet for forging, so you can sort by comm cost as well as ID number, and all sorts of other things.
Sad part is, google spreadsheets only have 100 rows, but if anyone wants to help, or knows how to integrate that into the wiki, let me know.
And I put some 100% biased stuff in the culture section under fain. hopefully we can have more history like that.

If I could have gotten my hands on that writeup, you can bet it'd be cited. Which is probably why they never let me see it, despite many requests: it's not meant for public consumption. All I have is a bunch of things Auseklis said in posts here that no longer exist, and an awful lot of hearsay from a lot of sources, none of which is admissible evidence, and assorted inferences from in-game sources. Which isn't much, though no one else has anything more.
In any case, it's moot. The retirement of essentially everyone who was bothering to pursue that approach means it doesn't matter; aslaran are poncy watered-down fop-furries by default. And it's looking unlikely Auseklis will ever come back, and he'd be the only one with any interest in settling the question anyway -- it's in the rest of the admin's best interest to leave things as they are, since the only people they're frustrating by doing so already left.
I suggested to Avaer that there was no point in me posting that stuff because of that (and several other reasons) when I offered in the first place. But maybe it'll inspire other people -- aslaran and otherwise -- to follow suit, and thus make the wiki a better resource.

Still, I think it is an awesome resource, and we will benefit the playerbase by having it there. If people don't want to follow it, there's nothing forcing them to. If alternatives want to be added, they are also more than welcome.
Sorry for mentioning it here, Gwylifar... I was hoping it would be mostly ignored.
Anyway!
Update: 11 October 2006
- Both the questions and answers of the Anniversary Quiz are now in the events section, test yourself and see how well you score!
- The Music and Shadowbeat specialization skill lists are now available thanks to some generous contributors, and it won't be long before Acrobatics is also put up.
- A new section was added in the Culture page to give details on the whole Pantheon of Lusternia's Divinities, past and present. If you have some interesting trivia or useful guides relating to our wonderful Gods, feel free to add it in!
- A few more Parley costs have been added, but there are so many that are missing! Verasavir, Mesa, Moonspirit and Nightspirit have confirmed costs for complete unenemying.

Hrm, can anyone contribute? I'm a wiki noob
Anarias2006-10-12 00:29:59
Added some public forging designs.
Sylphas2006-10-12 01:16:23
Finish Acrobatics, I'm dying here.
Kharaen2006-10-12 01:18:51
All public instruments added, as well as Serenwilde instruments.

Its weird, and it may just be that the Somersault is far from the next skill (its around Adept) and Im 50% through Adept with nothing new. Nirrti, youve probably loaded a bunch of lessons in, is it just a big distance?
Kharaen2006-10-14 02:39:34
Updated the wiki to include the latest instruments (including the latest violin) as well as my cartel's instrument page to include the super awesome designs I made this year.
Gandal2006-10-15 00:22:27
Merian gut? Nonono. Catgut. Use aslarans .
Sylphas2006-10-15 03:02:30
I'm sad that my angelbone lyre wasn't accepted. Angels aren't usable commodities yet.
Unknown2006-10-15 03:23:34
I want a percussion instrument.
Sylphas2006-10-15 05:54:29
Acrobatics to Trans. Formatting is iffy, but I'm too drunk to figure it out right now. Someone else do it.
Anarias2006-10-16 20:17:42
I'd absolutely love it if a smith could post the public designs for masterweapons and masterarmour. If you don't want to bother with adding them yourself just copy/paste them in a message to me or post them on this thread.
