Corrected a few things in the hunting guide. Karrack posted a decent one, but it was a bit biased. wink.gif

For some reason, the scroll he posted listed spectres as causing deafness. chin.gif

That might be because they do.

*way late*

OOh! Character Pages! cheer.gif

Need to come up with a nice format to c/p them in to first though.

Trying to join the Scrying Pool, I have stuff I can put in, if you'll let me. dribble.gif

Character pages don't sound like that great an idea: who's going to need to go look up your character? If no one will ever need to go check it, it probably shouldn't be there.

It's a great idea actually.

No one would look up your character. YOU'D MAKE YOUR OWN. And could write all the funny things in about your char. Gods, I'd LOVE IT! biggrin.gif Pretty please?

EDIT: In case that was misunderstood. They wouldn't be serious, they'd be for fun and giggles. If someone creates an utterly negative one about someone else the page should be deleted and the user banned. Simple.

Exactly! You could put all sorts of funny foibles and facts about your character(s). "She really does love cheese. Even though everyone says they do when they're stupid, she really does. Unfortunately, she's also a bit lactose intolerant." "He is deathly afraid of river trout. Won't get near a river without a waterwalk spell and even then, it's more a waterrun because he's trying to get as far from rivertrout as possible."

Or "She absolutely loves loti spores. Give one to her and she'll run faster than you can see. Additionally, she'll enemy you to the Shofangi. Probably."

I'm all for goofiness, but I think the Scrying Pool's not an ideal place for it. People count on it to have useful, semi-accurate (though too often out of date -- get to work updating!), and easy-to-find information. This is meant to help newcomers to Lusternia over come of that cost-of-entry issue, and I'd hate to weaken that. But wikispaces makes it five minute's work to get a free wikispace of your own!

There's no point to have a seperate wikispace for it.

I'd be more interesting -because- it stands in connection with Lusternia information. And in fact it is a way to get an idea about active players in Lusternia.

Aetolia has something like that. It's fun but it also tells you information about the characters, as they include level, org, held positions etc. And it always tells you something about the player behind the character. wink.gif

I'd make the whole scryingpool a bit more interesting to browse imo.

I agree! Besides, having a section on the Wiki that includes player/character info and other fluff stuff wouldn't detract from the parts dealing with facts and info.

I worked as a temp for this place one time that had a company website. The company website had info about the company, products, contact info and all that stuff... and then it also had pages where employees could do things like share pictures, make wedding/birth announcements and so on (obviously moderated). It was a little personal touch to a purely functional website and it was really pretty cool. It didn't keep customers from finding what they needed on the site. This could be like that.

But if you're just dead-set against it, if someone made a separate Wiki, would you be against the Scrying Pool linking to it?

I wouldn't be averse to setting up a wiki for the rp/frivilous side of things, scrying pool could go skills and the like, the other could be more for the player experience side of things.

Character pages for the fun of it, maybe pages for events (with quotes from the events rant threat cause you know they all have one), details of the covenspiracy, etc

Added Reagents in Alchemy. Put Willowisp in for Shadowdancers. I don't remember where it is for Moondancers Wicca. Some else feel free to put it in. biggrin.gif
