I will always be a Moondancer.
Thats what I said about Aquamancers

I'm staying in the guild.
Never liked Bards. Or carnies. Or the Dutch.

Amen to that.
Except the bit about the Dutch!

Kharaen liked art, and a being a Bard is probably the closest to an 'art' guild that she could get into.

Looks like Nirrti is using her skills in the games...

I'm joining as soon as my city/commune gets their guild.
Doesn't make much difference, since I can only play for a couple of hours a week, now, but I'll definitely be joining the Magnagoran bard guild. I hated Achaean bards, but love the Imperian variant, and I especially adore classes with great mobility, which Acrobatics seems to offer. The ideal turn-out for me would be if Bards were something like a cross between Serpents and Jesters.
Unknown2006-10-08 23:16:10
Isn't that the "Jugalo" class?
Unknown2006-10-08 23:30:08
I am definitely joining from everything I've heard. For anyone who doesn't think they'll be doing much 1v1 dueling (which is most people), this class sounds amazingly uber. Particularly given bashing and influencing boosts.
It's also something I've always always wanted, given the beautiful imagery between music and forest magic in Serenwilde. I just hope our specialization isn't hippy, survivalist, or happy. That would be very disappointing.

Actually, Bards of the Celtic sort were more akin to a form of Priest or at least a critical part of religion in the Celtic world.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bard
They were the "lowest" class of the Relgious folks, with Ovates being in the middle. Granted, this wouldn't necessarilly be the case in Lusternia, but I suspect the communes would have them in a more spiritual role than in the cities.

Aye, that's the direction I'm hoping they will go.
Abethor2006-10-09 00:00:43
Having missed the event, and just found out everything right now (Congrats Nirrti and Glomdoring!), I'd just like to say that this new skillset is an amazing idea. I've been actually wondering in the back of my head whether instruments would ever be interested in Lusternia and I'm quite glad that they have been.
Personally, I've switched guilds two times, skills numerous times, and I'm content in the Aquamancers, so I will not be joining a Bard guild. But I still think its amazing.

I am definitely joining. If only to keep the overacting OMG I R A LEET RPER LOOKIT ME people from taking over the archetype. (Kidding! We all know it's going to be so uber the griefers and RPless fighters will take over entirely, killing any artistic aspect the guilds might've had, ever.)
Taraki2006-10-09 23:17:41
I'm joining, just for a chance of getting to be around to help form the Ghelp files and sch Plus, I've taken up singing, and I really, really want to play music with it
Shaeden2006-10-11 18:35:39
If Shae leaves the Aquas it'll be fore the Celestines or maybe Paladins. Bards = not lighty enough (not that aquas are much better, but we have 9.10ths of my family)
Simimi2006-10-12 16:27:22
If the Bards of Celest get to be a mobile religous genocide squad, forcibly turning the infidels to the True Faith... I might get on that bandwagon... have been looking for a change for Simimi for sometime now, but I fear leaving the Celestines and being slain for it, and loosing all of my skills I love so much, and the people there are the best!

I can say with confidence that if you stay in Celest, we're not going to kill you
Ayruk2006-10-13 04:16:07
I don't think you'll ever be able to join the Celestines again though.
