Think you're allowed to quit once and come back.
Simimi2006-10-13 19:32:47
If I could not rejoin the Celestines... aww man that would make me so sad!
No worries Acrune, not leaving Celest

If the Bards of Celest get to be a mobile religous genocide squad, forcibly turning the infidels to the True Faith... I might get on that bandwagon... have been looking for a change for Simimi for sometime now, but I fear leaving the Celestines and being slain for it, and loosing all of my skills I love so much, and the people there are the best!
Yours, mimi
Simimi, a zealot?
Anyway, you can do that in the Celestines... probably more suited for it than a bard guild...
Simimi2006-10-13 20:41:05
Nah I tried to do combat like... 4 or so times, and it was not pretty. Between the high credit threshold, the system thing, and what not, I am pretty bad at it. Also, i am a bit slow with combat, and there is really no one to sit down and really teach me how to fight, though some have tried, those few honourable souls. Also, my poor race/class combo plays a small part, but I have like...700 something lessons sitting and collecting dust, maybe I could do something...
It would be neat to be able to get in on combat I think, just so much to learn...
Yours,
Mimi

Pfsh, I'll help you if you want. Talk to me IG.
Sylphas2006-10-13 20:46:20
How can you just have 700 lessons sitting around without spending them?! O_O
Simimi2006-10-13 22:53:35
722 lessons and 25 creds to be exact... >_>

A brief note on the having that many lessons and credits... Argh! I would go completely mad not using so many lessons!
But, yes... I voted that I was joining the Bards. It's been a big struggle for Linwe, as she never thought anything would be able to dispute the fact that she felt she belonged with the Moondancers... But, I have an insane love of poetry, sadly, and am majorly drawn to having Linwe being able to be a Bard. It just seems to fit her too well. I am, however, seriously lamenting the impending loss of my fae and healing abilities... not to mention Moon.

And loss of lessons, since you will be losing 44% of them when you switch

I just finally got Healing up to Fabled a week ago, after all these months working on it slowly (my credit splurges went into Moon, Planar, and Cooking(which I later forgot and put into influencing/dramatics) Healing has been all me though. After doing all that, and practically building Zenji's whole being around being a healer (bonus points if anyone catches or remembers the linguistic pun in that), with all his choices in game relating to a Healers mindset in some way... Well changing him to be a bard would just be silly.
That's what alts are for... to try out new things that Lusternia has to offer. Though the bard's haven't been around long enough to set themselves up apart from other guilds within their nations, so I won't be making a bard alt until that happens, as much as I would be tempted to.

Which is why I unlearned all but the base set of learning before novicehood was out and now have the nice pile of 222 lessons I love that my novicehoood hadn't run out when the announcement was made about the bards going to be everywhere ....Eventually
Unknown2006-10-15 02:22:37
I chose the first one and because it is my first guild, so far I like what it's like, (Lusty bards are -totally- different from Achaea and Impy) but I haven't really gotten to see what else there is.. so we'll see what happens.
Unknown2006-10-15 07:37:19
BARDSBARDSBARDSBARDSBARDSBARDSBARDSBARDSBARDS!
Yes I'm joining. It just suits Faethyr so well, it would be a scandal not to let him.

Noola2006-10-15 07:57:39
I decided Noola's not joining the bards when Celest gets them. I've got too much going on in the Aquamancers. I'm involved in all sorts of neat projects and I'm an undersec and GR5 and plus, I like the Aquamancers. And who knows. There might be a crazy blue moon and I might win the election! In which case it would be horrid of me to go. So... I may make a lil alt sometime to get a look-see or something someday, but Noola's staying in the Aquamancers for the forseeable future (who knows what's unforseeable though! )
Unknown2006-10-16 03:50:08
I kinda want to, but I'm not ready to take the lesson loss.
Ixion2006-10-16 12:52:19
Bards are actually tempting me...
Simimi2006-10-16 12:55:14
That scares me IX...really... You just wouldn't be IXION anymore without your huge weapons and legendary armour!
Sylphas2006-10-16 15:34:45
Make an alt, Ixion would be a weird ass bard. You'd be a totally different type of scary.

Heh, Ixion does make more poetry than the rest of Charune's order combined though
