If practicing is really as bad as vale__kant is saying wouldn't it be useful to have a skill called concert or some such? Minimum of three bards with the concert skill and a minimum of 10 people in the room (I’m basing this loosely on a herofete and harvest coven), they play for a short time each use up some small amount of power from their reserves, everyone in attendance gets some sort of buff, and all the bards who played get a bonus to their aptitude?

Well, I'm definately curious about things based on the posts on the new Wiki.

MajorSixth: Sound that allows travel to various milestones.

Ooh, a good use for milestones!

Fugue: Change another musician's composition by joining in.

Teamwork skill, or bard vs. bard attack?

VenomDrops: Increase the potency of poisons.

Love for poisonists.

BarghestBlues: Hearing barghest howls disrupts herb balance.

Interesting...

SpiderLegs: Navigate webs with the ease of a spider.

Web Resistance? Or something...else?

SlaughFest: Dark fae who hear this sound will be driven to a frenzy.

Ooh, enhancing summoned creatures!

From the looks of it, Bards have even less combat viability than I thought, outside of groups. Maybe you can figure out a way to kill someone with just Ecology or Tarot.

Heh, imagine trying to kill someone with just Illusions tongue.gif

Yeah, Music just doesn't SEEM as versitile as I was hoping, but I'll have to wait and see when I can make a bard alt in the Serenwilde dry.gif

Muahahahhahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha.

The viola is crafted from rich mahogany, lacquered to a shine. The strings are
made from thin, tightly coiled lengths of silk.
It weighs about 3 pounds and 12 ounce(s).
It bears the distinctive mark of Valarien, Maestro of the Lament.
This is your bonded instrument.
It has a Great Rune of Shielding attached to it.

I was at roughly 35% before I took the rune from my Cudgel and mangled it onto my Viola. It should be noted that my damage has effectively doubled from what it was through Maestro+Bonding.

By the way, wouldn't it be easier on the guilds if they got to start up before their specializations are in? This has a series of advantages (Less anticipation and less alts for Glom, more people involved in the skill design process, the guilds get an earlier headstart, and so on.) If I recall correctly, this was done with Crow when Glomdoring came out - The Blacktalon started out without Crow.

Not quite. Blacktalon didn't exist. It was a bunch of Hartstone flunkies who got the ability to craft Shadow totems.

Doesn't all this mean that the councils get a fourth member? That will mean internal votes can stop in a draw.
Sylphas2006-10-11 12:07:58
Not if you let the city/commune leader vote.
Felandi2006-10-11 12:11:22
Isn't the community leader often the leader of a guild at times? Such as Daevos or Shayle? Should they get two votes?
Sylphas2006-10-11 12:19:51
There is no community leader who is also a guild leader. I'm not sure it's even possible.
Felandi2006-10-11 12:23:26
In that case it is me simply confusing the titles together.
Shiri2006-10-11 12:42:07
It's not possible. Gregori had to retire from Seneschal/Regent to become Heir of Glinshari a while ago.

Incorrect, Council votes before could stop in a draw. Now, things are better actually as the CL has the final word and is thetie breaker.

Any guild leader cannot be CL, not even champs.

Someone should check exac damage before adding rune and after.

Isn't the damage increase just from the maestro level, not from the rune itself?

I heard the more proficiency you have, the faster you regain equ. blink.gif
Daganev2006-10-11 23:33:20
can you put a 150 credit rune on the 500 gold lutes from Bob, and never have to worry about your weapon again?
