Salt and sulfur

This change went in a long time ago, the shielding someone else with salt one. It just never worked, and was just fixed to actually work. I would have strongly disagreed with it if I was an envoy back then, but it was over a year ago.

Nymph and reflections were both nerfed because they were overpowered for this very thing - why was this thus accepted? I don't get it. At the very least, shielding someone else should count as an agressive action, causing you to drop your own shield.

At the moment, someone can spam it while under GRACE or INNOCENCE, as well as while shielded. I am unsure if you can do it while under Serpent.

EDIT: For clarity, the change that was actually envoyed was balance instead of eq for salt and sulfur. That by itself is a perfectly reasonable change, imo.

Group combat is overpowered anyway. wink.gif

I've always used salt for my shielding because I'm one of those low intelligence races and I need to conserve my mana.

It won't be a big deal in pvp combat but it'll be a big change for bashing mobs, when attacking a big thing you get a little friend who isn't enemied to constantly shield you and you'll never get hit, it'll be useful on raids for killing lords and stuff.

I've been playing too much WoW. The first thing that popped into my head was, "Well then you'd draw aggro and get pwned, what's the problem?"

tongue.gif Newb boonprot monks need to learn to stay out of mob aggro range (to mix game references).

Boonprot monks who can't stay out of aggro range shouldn't be monking in the first place. tongue.gif

Someone unenemied to Moon hunting Avatars along with someone who is just to shield the person who is? I guess the room attacks still go through though.
Ekard2006-11-23 12:01:17
Dont Avatars call for help?
ferlas2006-11-23 15:00:14
Ya I was thinking about avatars, supernals and stuff like that, they arn't agressive till you attack arn't they?

That MIGHT have been changed? But in any case, they are only aggressive towards enemies.

You could always do that anyway with a load of little illusionists spamming reflections...
